So you and Tyler are smoking a cig, the dawn is breaking through the window and you just got a good look at him -- the honeymoon is over, already?

In terms of his play without the puck in the defensive zone? Yes, the honeymoon is over. Defense first! Myers said it himself in the News about a week ago. Come playoff time, talk is cheap. DEFENSE FIRST!

No, Gerbe's nose would hit ... uh, nevermind.

Sure enough, Gerbe collided with Chara late in the game. Pretty funny. Almost as funny as a pinching Myers going at it with Chara below the goal line early in the game.

Goose has a busted hand.... he CANT fight

Shoulder, actually. He said that he can fight and would if was to defend a teammate, but otherwise, it wasn't worth risking re-injuring it.

Per TSN: 2010/03/13 Missed 5 games (right hand injury).

Never heard anything about a shoulder..... he injured his hand in that fight.

No reason for him to have fought last night in that situation.

That means Paul Gaustad is back and ready to play. The center missed five games with a shoulder injury suffered fighting Pittsburgh's Mike Rupp.

Paul Gaustad will not be in the lineup tomorrow night when the Sabres host the Dallas Stars. He’s been out with a shoulder injury since getting into a fight Mike Rupp off Pittsburgh last Monday.

Initial reports on the Rupp fight were that it was a hand injury, but it turned out to be a shoulder injury. I was listening to some of the game on the radio and Paul Hamilton said that Gaustad told him that his shoulder was good enough to fight if he needed to, but that he would only do it if it was to defend a teammate.
