Stoner Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 Cool, cool, cool. Thanks for that. That Daley had quite a part in his hair. I found the camera and directing work to be quite impressive. And the Sabres' power play hasn't come far in 40 years! Was that Danny Gallivan doing the play by play? Rick has said he was one of his idols. The announcer ended by exclaiming, "The game is over!"

Gallivan and Dick Irvin Jr. broadcast the Habs games.
darksabre Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 That was just fun to watch. Plain old fun. :)
Eleven Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Very cool. Thanks for posting. A couple of questions/comments: 1. Few players wearing helmets (and Daley wearing nothing, WTF was he thinking), and no hard plastic shoulder pads or elbow pads. Also, no forearm "shivers," no elbows to heads, no "jump-in" checks. Probably not a coincidence. 2. I'm pretty sure that Canada had color TV by 1970, although Canada may have misspelled it "colour." So what gives? 3. Was that the last time the Leaves beat the Sabres in a regular season game until last week? (For you, Millbank.)
Assquatch Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Love the helmet with the football-style facemask!
