26CornerBlitz Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 How about this for the rotation this week: Miller @ Boston on Monday Lalime vs Florida on Wednesday Lalime @ Toronto on Thursday Miller @ Montreal on Saturday I know the lineup is depleted with all of the injuries, but the Sabres should still be able to handle the Panthers and the Leafs. Or is it more important to wrap up the third seed first?
CallawaySabres Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I don't think there is anything more important than getting the Division first
wonderbread Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I don't think there is anything more important than getting the Division first Agreed lock up the division and let Lalime play a few.
eball Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 This team isn't THAT good where it can take "nights off" regardless of the opponent. They should be playing wire to wire -- the #2 seed in the conference is within reach. That means Miller plays unless you give him the back end of a two-nighter off.
spndnchz Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Of those 4 games I'd play LaLime Wed vs Florida. That's it. Boston and Montreal are 4 point games and Miller owns the Laffs.

Or is it more important to wrap up the third seed first? Excellent Post. This is definitely something to think about. I 100% agree with the sentiment that the Sabres should aim for the 2 seed, but I also think this team has no choice but to try and give Miller "about a week off" at some point between now and Playoffs... if they expect him to carry them through (which they have no choice but to expect).
wallybarthman Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 yeah, same here. i want to see miller punch a leaf in the face again. Seriously, I think Miller would be annoyed if he didn't get to play against the Leafs.
shrader Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I think they're pretty much in a wait and see approach for deciding who starts. A couple wins and a couple Ottawa losses and all of a sudden it is far more likely for Lalime to get a couple starts.
Calvin Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 They might not get too many games early this week to look and see.. We play Mon, Wed & Thu Sens play Tue & Thu Habs play Wed Bruins play Mon, Tue & Thu It'll only get clearer by the end of this week..
