sweeper Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 All season ticket buyers can buy their seats for the first two rounds at prices significantly below box office prices. PTR That's kind of how season tickets work... And by kind of, I mean exactly.
FearTheReaper Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I wonder how much individual tickets are? Barring there are any to be sold. Season tix holders make up about 12000 to 15000 seats right? 90 dollars for a 300 level seat? 120 for a round two 300 level? Am i aiming way to low? Theres no way im looking for any, just curious.

According to Mike Haim- About 2,000 tickets will be available for each of the four potential home contests. The team has seven price points between $58 and $173 for first-round ducats.
VansTheMans Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I'm a season ticket holder. Bought the first two rounds for just over 200 bucks. Total. I sit in section 300  Best seats in the house. I absolutely love the crowd up there. Every game I have fantastic company.

I go to about 10 games a season at HSBC Arena, and about 4-6 of them are in section 300 because i know a kid who has season tickets in like row 11. Very cool seats. I've probably have seen you. lol
LabattBlue Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 $173 a ticket box office price? Maybe for the Cup finals, Game 7. I can't imagine that there will be many of the $58 seats available and the few that are, will be gobbled up quickly.
Calvin Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 All season ticket buyers can buy their seats for the first two rounds at prices significantly below box office prices. PTR Not just seasons.. mini-pack holders got the same offer too, only the seat selection is more limited.. still waiting for mine

I can't imagine that there will be many of the $58 seats available and the few that are, will be gobbled up quickly. I think about that often. I look at those face valu prices and think I would never pay that now. Reminds me of the no-goal game. I took my then 10 year old son. I was offered $4000 for my two tickets. (there's a long story there) The memories of being with my son are priceless but if that happened this year, I'm selling.
LabattBlue Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 A word of warning to those buying playoff tickets in the lower bowl... When Portland came to town last month, I moved around the lower bowl quite a bit just to experience different sightlines(I sit in the 300's for the season tickets I split). Initially, I sat 10 rows up directly behind the goal where the Sabres shoot twice and I was shocked to find out that because of the shallow slope in the lower bowl, you can only see the upper half of the goal. Therefore, if a goal is scored along the ice, you have no idea that it happened. IMO because of this, those seats are absolutely worthless and whomever was in charge of design of the seating bowl when the arena was built, should be shot. That is where the Aud is missed the most...leg room and great sight lines from the first row to the last row. PS I would assume the problem mentioned above, is the same at both ends of the arena.

There are actually problems with site lines all around the bowl below the 12th row or so. There is a reason I picked row 20.
elcrusho Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 If your going to buy them, a word of advice from someone that used to work for a certain ticketing company... Buy your tickets online, OR be FIRST in line at ANY outlet such as Tops, preferably one's that don't have the highest traffic for hockey tickets.........maybe Tops on Jefferson Ave. or the Tops in Warsaw, NY (yes it's a drive but have fun with it)
LabattBlue Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I just went to the 3D seat viewer on the Sabres website and it is a complete misrepresentation of the seats that I mentioned in the post above... http://www.seats3d.com/nhl/buffalo_sabres/ If I bought those seats and then found out that the view was not as depicted, I'd demand my money back.
PromoTheRobot Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Not just seasons.. mini-pack holders got the same offer too, only the seat selection is more limited.. still waiting for mine If you buy full seasons you get the best price break. Basically every game is a "value" game. I think with mini-packs you are still paying almost full box office. PTR

For the playoffs the margin might be higher, will confirm when I get home.
LabattBlue Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I might be wrong as I don't handle the payments for our season tickets, but I think our prices for the 1st round of the playoffs is $5 higher than our regular season price and $10 higher for the 2nd round.

I have cheapo nosebleeds. They were $21 for reg season. Playoffs are $22 for rd1 and $28 for rd2. PTR
Patty16 Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 No way am i dropping $58 to sit in the 300s fro a 1st round game...been to too many to make it worth it for me. rather save and spend on latter rounds should they get there.
Sabre Dance Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Jeez, I wish I still had the ticket stubs from some of the games I attended at the Aud in the 70's. Orange seats for 5 bucks - I think in the playoffs, they may have inflated the price to $5.50....maybe $6.

Orange seats for 5 bucks - I think in the playoffs, they may have inflated the price to $5.50....maybe $6. Jeez, Why don't you say..... "In my day we didn't have no fancy HD we watched hockey on 15" Black & White, and liked it, we liked it just fine!", you sound like my grandfather. Things were cheap in the 70's we get it... As for the Aud, no offense but corner orange seats were awful I remember going while in high school and having to lean forward while standing to see a puck in the corner. The upper blues were not for the clausterphobic. Nothing like have a deck over your head and being able to see the scoreboard. As a child the tunnels and hallways were scary as ######, smoky, smelly, and three things you don't want in an arena or a woman!!
