wjag Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 So I couldn't watch the whole game last night. Can someone speculate on what happened to Vanek and what his injury situation is? With TC down and now TV, this is disturbing. I guess the bright side is if they aren't serious, they can be back for the playoffs with rest.
carpandean Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Vanek enthusiastic? The only emotion he shows is frustration. On one of the goals last night, he was the only Sabre to not react in any way at all. He joined the celebration with the goal scorer, but probably only because he had to. This guy is Larry David with incredible hand-eye coordination. I remember after Derek Roy's first goal, which made it 2-0, he was battling in front of the goaltender and looked pissed after the goal was scored. Since he left the game early with an injury, I had assumed that it occurred on that shift. Probably tried to play on it for a little bit after and then left the game. I could be wrong; it was just my guess after hearing he was injured.
R_Dudley Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 It's just a start, but this sure looks nice: Boy I like that lineup card just the way it is. I would love to see Ott vs Pens in the 1st round it allows me to watch and root for the Pens here in Pgh w/o feeling dirty about it. Hey Ink is that what Voyeurism is all about ? ;)
inkman Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Any reason for the random capitalization? My iPhone was making decisions for me. It has a mind of it's own sometmes.

Stoner Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Of course, if he didn't care, he wouldn't be frustrated. The level of frustration (he may go postal) he displays reveals his enthusiasm. I'll buy that.
Doohicksie Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 I don't. Take Roy for instance. When he's well, frustrated, I get more of a sense of determination out of him. He doesn't hang his head, he jumps over the boards and tries to get 'er done next shift, and if not that shift, the next one. Maybe I read too much into the body language, but I see a world of difference between TV's and everyone else on the team. What that boy needs is a big playoff series to show himself he's worth the money. I think the contract weighs heavily on his mind.
spndnchz Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Sweet game last night. Ennis looked awesome. It was nice to be in a game where the D didn't need to pinch to get it done. Two highlights of last night: The wave started in the section next to us. Tokk a few tries but we had it going in the 300's and finally filtered into the lower bowl. Went for a good 4-5 minutes of play. The 2 guys with their little boys sitting across from us on the train, talking about Sabrespace.
