Xray Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 so 17 SOGs .. they didn't play a bad period, just usual play against Ottawa. Eliott is due to give up a few, how about starting with the remanants of the PP.. How about putting players on the PP that actually belong out there, is it going to take Ruff a decade to figure out that Goose isn't the next Rick Vaive.
SabresRepublic Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Indeed the bloodlust is flowing. This is the biggest game of the season in my view. We need to stay far away from the Sens in the standings. 9 points up with 9 games remaining and 2 in hand?!?! That sounds amazing to me. Ideally i'd like to see us beat Ottawa tonight and on April 10th, while Ottawa wins a good amount of their remaining games. This would insert them into the 4th or 5th seed depending on how the other teams pan out. A 4th seed Sens vs a 5th seed Devils? That would be imaculate. I wouldn't see Ottawa getting past Jersey. As for tonights game, i'd love to believe that we keep rolling and tank over Ottawa like a German Panzer circa Poland, 1939. That all depends. We haven't beaten them since Janurary 2009! They own us. A few keys to victory lie in these questions. Can Kaleta be the X factor tonight? Can Hecht continue the dominance? Will the PP do anything tonight? You cannot be serious! To borrow a quote from John McEnroe! Seriously, at the very least, with a modicum of the benefit of the doubt to the Germanic clan on the Sabres you could have said Nazi panzer instead! The fact of the matter is that the Nazis lost BIG TIME!!! And Germany thanks GOD!!! Fast forward to modern times and destruction of Saddam Hussein and his ilk - primarily Baath party which enslaved the Iraqi people and the transformation of a nation NOT unlike Germany's rise to a functional people respecting Life, Liberty, Property!!! If you're going to use analogies predicated on death, anarchy, destruction then quantify your references so that you do NOT throw the baby out with the bathwater!!!
biodork Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Ask Peter Gabriel, at the very least, he might be able to shock the damn thing. Haha +1
ThePebble19 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Oh man...This GDT could be classic. We have one of the most negative posters, Xray, along with the eternal optimist, SabresRepublic.
JJFIVEOH Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Having to watch the TSN feed................. Pierre McGuire is downright AWFUL!!! I forgot how much I can't stand him!
ThePebble19 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Having to watch the TSN feed................. Pierre McGuire is downright AWFUL!!! I forgot how much I can't stand him! Yep, he is terrible. If I only had the choice of watching the TSN feed, and didnt have the MSG option, I might just opt to listen to WGR on the internet...
North Buffalo Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I can't wait till Torres comes back, Stafford is a Pansy!
Iron Crotch Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Ouch. That goal really, really hurts. Man I hate Ottawa.
Iron Crotch Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 C'mon boys. Now would be a great time for a power play goal.
sactobillsfan Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I hate Ottawa more than I hate the Patriettes and I really hate the Patriots. We just do not match up at all with them.
North Buffalo Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Power play... so what... til they show me something.... not so far. When the Ellis Grier line is the best thing you got... Nothing.... Connolly and Stafford are playing timid...
biodork Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Give me back that Sens goal... give me that goal...
Xray Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 LOL I was just going to say that anytime we're in our own end make sure Goose goes to the boards while another forward goes to the open area of the ice because goose is confused about where how to play it. Then 3 seconds later him and Tallinder lose the battle for the puck and we're down another goal.
notwoz Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 If anyone is looking for a happy ending -- the NFL network is showing the Bills' 1992 "comeback" game againt the Houston Oilers.
SwampD Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Ouch. That goal really, really hurts. Man I hate Ottawa. I don't hate Ottawa as much as I hate the Sabres when they play Ottawa.
SabreInFla Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this game is over....
inkman Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 As my coach used to tell me, "you can't play hockey with a hard-on" Keep it in your pants ink. Well...you can play tonsel hockey.
ThePebble19 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Maybe if we knock enough of their players out of the game, we can score a goal.
ThePebble19 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Every time we play Ottawa, we make Brian Elliott look like the best goalie in the league. He leaves rebounds out there, and NO ONE is in place to get a second shot off.
inkman Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 [quote name='ROC Sabres' date='26 March 2010 - 08:17 PM' timestamp='1269649078' post='198002'" Keep it in your pants ink. who says I'm wearing pants?
North Buffalo Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this game is over.... Me thinks you might write with a bit of drip... get a handy wipe!
