Moral of the story and this applies not only to me, but also everyone who left the game early...it's not over until the fat lady sings! :D

Luckily the only fat lady that sings at Sabres games is an Irish guy!

Good teams create their own luck!!!

Unlike most on this board, the Sabres never gave up!!!

GO BUFFALO SABRES!!!

There's not alot of intestinal fortitude on this board, but you seem to have noticed.

Outstanding.. Can't wait to read the English translations of the French newspapers on this one..

You can say that again. This place has gotten BRUTAL.

The Sabres are leading the division by a mile at this point and can possibly catch the Penguins for number 2 in the division. Judging by this board, you'd think they are in 10th place.

Many here are unhappy unless things are going bad for the team. It reinforces their defeatist attitudes.

I'm normally a voice of optimism and realism with these things, too, but you can't look at a game like tonight and think that it's a good thing for the team to play like they did for the first 2 3/4 periods. They pulled it off against the 7th ranked team in the conference. And scored two goals with a 6-on-4, and a 6-on-5. Try this type of game against Washington, Pittsburgh, and New Jersey...and they're going to get their butts handed to them.

I'm happy they got the win, and the 2 pts. I'm glad they had some level of fortitude to suck it up at the end and push for the win, instead of just folding.

But it's got to be better. Tough love, guys. Tough love.

Come on man, everything is not perfect all the time. They were not great tonight, got no bounces most of the game, but found a way to win against a desperate team. That's what good teams do. Enjoy it.

Wow, i dont know what is more surprising. The fact that buffalo only played for about 8 minutes of the game or the fact that they only needed to play 8 minutes of the game to win it.

If what you are saying is true then Montreal would have smoked us!!!

That didn't happen because the Sabres tank is always full! They stuck with the plan until Montreal ran out of answers. That awaits all the opposition!

GO Buffalo Sabres!!!

Did Gaustad get credit for the tying goal? Looking at the replay, it looked like Montador to me.

They gave it to Monty. Initial call was goose, and I hit send before they changed it.

Should have known. Goose can't do anything right.

The board's bipolar. Then there's the random delusional poster. Have fun figuring out who is who!

I am, Dave, I am. I've got a smile on my face right now. It's just a nervous one...I guess it'd be a little less concerning if we weren't closing in on the playoffs. If this game happened in January or some other time, I'd be whooping it up, for sure.

But I do agree with your general retort that there's a lot of negativity on this board most nights, and not enough positive when they win. I fear it's headed in the direction of the Stadium Wall if people don't start being a little more positive...

Try better language, you bigoted clown.

You are right, sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me. What I mean to say is that if these players of questionable mental and physical fortitute attempt to play this poorly against Ottawa on Friday, they stand no chance of winning.

At the risk of being labeled a Guastad lover, I'll say this. He deserves as much credit on the 2nd goal as Montador. He cleaned house in front of the net and opened up the everything to Price's left.

I'm fairly certain I've seen most of the games this year (thanks to streaming) and I don't believe I've seen the Sabres ever give up!!!

This is a special team and possibly beginning to peak at the right time!!!

GO BUFFALO SABRES!!!

Be careful! Goose had a good game tonight. Several hard working shifts, throwing the body around, folded up Moore like an accordian along the boards. Need to see more of that out of him.

I love accordion music!
