spndnchz Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Opinion, personal and statistics manipulated with reinforced language, condescending and disparaging using arguments, circular presenting for a place it was I thought. -Yoda
Stoner Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 WTFC what people say or write? A message board is a place to argue good points, while being civil to one another, u'd hope. Why are people so mad if they don't get credit (not u shrader) or are looking to have their thread go number 1 on the post charts? It's a freakin' message board. We're all mostly friends here, some of us have been pulled from the ledge because of this board. It's a place to vent and rant and be a homer from time to time. From sources deep within the board we have saved many lives and relationships. If someone says it in hockey speak or parrot or using a french translator, so be it. I'm intrigued by this. Explain, please.
LabattBlue Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 I'm intrigued by this. Explain, please. If she has to explain it, you have clearly not yet been "saved"! :nana:

shrader Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 I'm intrigued by this. Explain, please. toddkaz has cleaned himself up and now posts under the handle "Tom Webster".
spndnchz Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 I'm intrigued by this. Explain, please. If I told u, I'd have to block u. B-)

I'm not buying it and I hate you too.

Stoner Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 So, how bout them Mets? As a yout, I had brief affair with baseball and because we got WOR-TV, I latched onto the Mets. Circa 76-78. Some great memories watching those games on summer nights. They had a guy who could belt out some sweet homers at Shea. Be damned if I can remember his name. Shortstop was named Felix, I think. First or last name, dunno. I loved the broadcasters. Bob Murphy? Leslie someone. And Ralph Kiner. Kiner's Korner ruled after the Mets won. Didn't care that they sucked. Just loved watching. Innocence of youth. Of course I gave up on them -- on baseball actually -- and the Mets won it all in '86.

Felix Mantilla at SS. Yes, I am also old.
Stoner Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Bob Murphy and Lindsay Nelson. And I think you mean Dave Kingman for the HRs.... Felix Mantilla at SS. Yes, I am also old. Yeah Kingman! I used to love old timers day. Remember the fan who held up signs in the left field stands?
ReneRobert Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Yeah Kingman! I used to love old timers day. Remember the fan who held up signs in the left field stands? I do... and I also remember they had "banner day" near the end of each season, where people paraded between games of a double header with banners written on bed sheets and the like.... It was a different world.

deluca67 Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Thanks for reminding me to update the sig. Don't know what I'd do without you (and your donation). ;) A small price to pay to prove that the Legend of Tim Connolly is just that, a mythical story. Connolly remains a much more productive player while injured. I'm sure with his current injuries his point production will double.

DeLuca, you crack me up. :) We're not even half way through this and you've already squandered a $198 lead. The thing that's troubling is you expected him to be healthier in the 2nd year (and you're track record at predictions tends to be, shall we say, less than stellar). ;) I expected him to play ~70-75 games in the regular season both years and to be there for the playoff runs. I might have underestimated his availability slightly this year. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of it plays out. Regards.

shrader Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Very clever. It's better when you hide the link in a smilie. It doesn't get underlined like the period did.
Eleven Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 It's better when you hide the link in a smilie. It doesn't get underlined like the period did. Would you believe that I never have used a smiley?
shrader Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Would you believe that I never have used a smiley? Your blind Connolly hate has never brought on a :censored: or :wallbash: ? You disappoint me.
Stoner Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Would you believe that I never have used a smiley? You and Lindy.
wonderbread Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 You and Lindy. I saw Lindy leak a smile at Gaustad last night!
