carpandean Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Didn't realize that Rask is a rookie. First in the league (not just rookies) in save % and GAA; could he win the Calder? Only 37 GP, so Tyler may be OK.
static70 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Nah, not the Norris. I predict Myers will win a couple Norris Trophies in his career, but not his rookie season. As of right now, Myers wins the Calder and Miller wins the Vezina. As for MVP, it depends on your definition. Miller has probably had the most profoundly positive effect on his team's winning %. But the award tends to go toward the most outstanding player, not the most valuable. As of right now, Ovechkin wins with Sedin in 2nd and Miller 3rd. Calder is possible for Myers, of course, Howard and Duchene are pushing hard as well. Right now I actually put Howard as the front runner with Myers and Duchene just about dead even and real close in second. As for Vezina it'll be a fight to the finish between Miller and Bryzgalov. Right down to the end and if Miller can't keep his goals against down in the remaining games Bryzgalov runs away with it.
