R_Dudley Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Time to see if the lovefest during the Olympics was for real or if Drury runs Miller ala Gomez style. Let's Go Buffalo!
eball Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 A loss tonight would set a franchise record for consecutive road defeats; need to keep that from happening and string some wins together, boys!
Bmwolf21 Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Time to see if the lovefest during the Olympics was for real or if Drury runs Miller ala Gomez style. Let's Go Buffalo! Has Drury ever run a goalie Gomez style?
R_Dudley Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Has Drury ever run a goalie Gomez style? No silly but don't ruin the fun with logic. :nana:
Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 A loss tonight would set a franchise record for consecutive road defeats; need to keep that from happening and string some wins together, boys! Really? Wow.
rickshaw Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 The Sabres have lost 8 roadies in a row, although we got some loser points in there. 9 losses in a row would be a franchise record? I would have thought it would be more than that. I don't think the streak should count against the years they didn't get loser points. But they better find their road touch, they've got a whack of games coming up on the road and so does Ottawa. Whoever fairs better will finish ahead. Must win today
Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Write it down. 8 goals for Mancari tonight. What?! OK I have a crazy prediction then. The game will be delayed 31 minutes when a crazed Ranger fan steals Sam Rosen's hairpiece and throws it on the ice. No one will want to pick it up, and Rick MacLeish will have to be brought in. Good thing he's in town!
Hawk Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Write it down. 8 goals for Mancari tonight. Early lineup has Mancari with Vanek and Roy.
darksabre Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Early lineup has Mancari with Vanek and Roy. Well at least we know what line won't be scoring tonight.
Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Early lineup has Mancari with Vanek and Roy. What's an early lineup?
Hawk Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 What's an early lineup? Try googling it. I'm too tired to explain

Two or less Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Early lineup has Mancari with Vanek and Roy. Lines, per Mike Harrington- Vanek - Roy - Mancari Hecht - Connolly - Pommer Torres - Mair - Grier Kaleta - Kennedy - Ellis Butler once again sitting.
Hawk Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Lines, per Mike Harrington- Vanek - Roy - Mancari Hecht - Connolly - Pommer Torres - Mair - Grier Kaleta - Kennedy - Ellis Butler once again sitting. If it were me I would have swapped Hecht with Torres
Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Lines, per Mike Harrington- Vanek - Roy - Mancari Hecht - Connolly - Pommer Torres - Mair - Grier Kaleta - Kennedy - Ellis Butler once again sitting. But Mike isn't the coach. I've been burned too many times by this kind of morning skate reporting. We'll see how they line up under the big top at 7:30. Edit: or at 7.

Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 It's not like the planned lines matter anyways. It'll be different by the 10 minute mark of the 1st. Lindy usually waits until a little later, but you're right. I don't understand in a league full of paranoid coaches why they'd put their starting lineup on the ice in the morning skate.

I don't understand in a league full of paranoid coaches why they'd put their starting lineup on the ice in the morning skate. I would assume it's for the sake of making sure the lines are sorted properly and clicking. I mean, how many teams in this league don't have their lines set in stone anyways? We probably mix ours up more than anyone on the sheer fact that there is no chemistry on the top end. At least none that is consistent.
Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Just for sh*ts and giggles, who wants to count scoring chances tonight? Might be interesting to compare each other's figures and MSG's count.
darksabre Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 If it's not a total snoozefest I'll give it a shot.
Stoner Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 If it's not a total snoozefest I'll give it a shot. It might be harder than it looks. I mean, if a point shot on a power play is tipped by Vanek five feet wide, is that a scoring chance?
darksabre Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 It might be harder than it looks. I mean, if a point shot on a power play is tipped by Vanek five feet wide, is that a scoring chance? I generally only count chances if they are on net.
