Greg Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Vanek & maybe a pick for Drury (waive no trade clause) and Callahan. Pick and Lalime for Biron Stafford & McArthur for Iginlia
inkman Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Vanek & maybe a pick for Drury (waive no trade clause) and Callahan. No effin way the Rangers throw in Callahan. Pick and Lalime for Biron Meh...would you need to throw in a pick? Stafford & McArthur for Iginlia
LabattBlue Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Vanek & maybe a pick for Drury (waive no trade clause) and Callahan. Pick and Lalime for Biron Stafford & McArthur for Iginlia Sounds good! I see no reason why any of this is not doable.
TomSmith Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Vanek & maybe a pick for Drury (waive no trade clause) and Callahan. Pick and Lalime for Biron Stafford & McArthur for Iginlia How about Gaustad and a pick for Callahan or Dubinsky
deluca67 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Vanek & maybe a pick for Drury (waive no trade clause) and Callahan. Pick and Lalime for Biron Stafford & McArthur for Iginlia Stafford AND MacArthur for Iginla? What are you f**kig trying to do? Throw away the Sabres future? For some flash in the pan? MacArthur for Iginla, maybe, if Calgary tosses in a #1 and maybe a prospect. Otherwise, this shouldn't even be considered.

I don't see why Columbus wouldn't trade Nash for Ellis and Mair.

nucci Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Vanek & maybe a pick for Drury (waive no trade clause) and Callahan. Pick and Lalime for Biron Stafford & McArthur for Iginlia What color is the sky in your world?
inkman Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Leafs rumored to be moving Ponikarovsky, Stempniak and Kaberle. What would you give up to get them? I'm thinking MacArthur, Sekera, Ennis and a draft pick...
LabattBlue Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Leafs rumored to be moving Ponikarovsky, Stempniak and Kaberle. What would you give up to get them? I'm thinking MacArthur, Sekera, Ennis and a draft pick... For Ponikarovsky...2nd + Gerbe or 3rd + MacArthur For Kaberle(signed through 10-11)...Stafford + Enroth I'll pass on Stempniak
Mbossy Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 For Ponikarovsky...a 2nd + Gerbe or MacArthur +3rd For Kaberle(signed through 10-11)...Stafford + Enroth I'll pass on Stempniak Ponikarovsky I think would only need a number 2. Stempniak a 3rd rounder. Tomas Kaberle's agent says he's staying in Toronto.
wonderbread Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 For Ponikarovsky...2nd + Gerbe or 3rd + MacArthur For Kaberle(signed through 10-11)...Stafford + Enroth I'll pass on Stempniak But he's from Buffalo it works perfectly.
LabattBlue Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Tomas Kaberle's agent says he's staying in Toronto. If that is the case, enjoy being a loser on the outside looking in for the rest of your career.

Iron Crotch Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 It certainly makes sense that the Leafs would want to move Kaberle if they can get him to waive his NTC. They have WAY too much money tied up on their blue line with Phaneuf making $6.5 mil and Komisarek at $4.5 (Kaberle at $4.25). To put it in perspective, they have 5 guys who make as much or more as our highest paid d-man.
inkman Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I could imagine that Kassian is a Burke type player. I would be willing to toss him in as part of a deal. As much of a man-crush I have on Kassian, I desperately want the Sabres to go for broke. If he needs to go, I'm all for it, only with the stipulation that toughness is addressed now and this offseason.
deluca67 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 If that is the case, enjoy being a loser on the outside looking in for the rest of your career. Maybe they can convince Kaberle that Buffalo is a southern suburb of Toronto? He wouldn't even have to sell his house.
Greg Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 What color is the sky in your world? I'm in Delaware, Delaware What the hell is there to do in Delaware?
Buffalo Wings Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Maybe they can convince Kaberle that Buffalo is a southern suburb of Toronto? He wouldn't even have to sell his house. It's only 2.5 hours away...that's nothing. I'm all for Stafford & Enroth for Kaberle. There's that NTC thing, though.

TomSmith Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 As much of a man-crush I have on Kassian, I desperately want the Sabres to go for broke. If he needs to go, I'm all for it, only with the stipulation that toughness is addressed now and this offseason. Here's a list of players the Sabres have hired to fill that role. Rivet Montador Guastad Mair Grier I agree that changes need to be made, that group needs an overhaul. Add to the list Kaleta who is here as an agitator (he does the job) And Ellis who is here to try hard, at least that is what I get from listening to Ruff. Most of these are lower skill players. What this team needs to do if they want to solve the toughness issue is abandon this approach of clogging up half the roster with these players. Identify 3 players from the roster or outside the roster that can actually do the job, and get rid of the rest.

Rivet Montador Guastad Mair Grier I agree that changes need to be made, that group needs an overhaul. I know you're no fan of Goose but he has a role on the team, as long as they keep him there it shouldn't be an issue. Rivet and Montador are spent. Mair is really JAG at this point, I like the way he hits and fights I just don't think he does it enough. I'm not sure how I feel about Grier. He's seemingly lived up to expectations...

If Gaustad's role is to play strictly on 4th line for 10 to 13 minutes (less in the playoffs) a game I'm ok with that. 3. Trade both Montador and Rivet at the deadline, if you have buyers.
