Calvin Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 With 22 games to go, i'd love to see us come out blazing tonight and try and get around 30 points for the remaining games. That should lock up a pretty good playoff berth, with the Division title being a bonus. We have a bunch more of away games.. if we play away like we did earlier in the season then i'd be impressed, because we were pretty bad in the latter half of the out-West road trip, and after that too. The Sabres have 75 points now, I'd wager we end up with just over a hundred..
LabattBlue Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I'll go with an even 100 points for the season(25 points for the remainder of the season).
Mbossy Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I'm optimistic. 15-4-3, sneaking in at 33 points.
wonderbread Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I'm gonna say 13-5-4 for 30 pts finishing w/ 105. This all depends on if DR makes a move to bring in a viable top 6 guy.
Buffalo Wings Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 A little more than a point a game. Miller will steal a few and they'll lay a few eggs.
Stoner Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I'm gonna say 13-5-4 for 30 pts finishing w/ 105. This all depends on if DR makes a move to bring in a viable top 6 guy. I like your thought process. If Darcy sits on his hands, though, the team could be even further deflated than they have been.
nobody Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I'll go with somewhere in the 90s if no meaningful trades are made.
Calvin Posted March 3, 2010 Author Report Posted March 3, 2010 Great start there.. 0 last night, now 42 points left to play for.
Kristian Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 I put them down for 12-22 pts. These guys are in trouble, and I for one have a hard time believing any of the "core" will develop into hockey players who give a damn overnight.
kooshari Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 76 points Best answer! This team's play has been so disheartening. Miller's post-game quotes (after the loss to the Caps) give me the only small measure of hope I can find.
Calvin Posted March 23, 2010 Author Report Posted March 23, 2010 we're halfway through the 22 games after the Olympic break.. 4 home games, 7 away.. and we picked up 13 of the 22 points on offer. of the 11 games to go, there's 5 at home and 6 on the road, for another 22 points. the majority of the people voted that we'd pick up between 23-33 points post-break, we're about halfway there. six of the remaining eleven are division games against playoff hopefuls (not counting the game against the Leaves), so makes them virtual four-pointers.. go Sabres!
BuffalOhio Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Nice little page here from Brad Riter: Magic Numbers As of right now the Sabres need 100 points to guarantee the division title. Any combination of 12 points won by Buffalo or given up by Ottawa will do it. C'mon boys! And thanks for nothing tonight, Philly!
henysgol Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I say they're coming out on the ice with their balls hanging low. Especially Miller.
wonderbread Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 Well just thought I'd revive this little beauty to bad it didn't get a lot of predictions.
