Rabbit151 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I was only kidding, but perhaps the only trade Regier will make to get a body back here is the one where he picks up that pigeon that was on the ice in the Caps-Pens game last night.
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I think in addition to cap concerns there are just too many buyers and not enough sellers.
chileanseabass Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 when parity is at an all-time high, it's hard to find trading partners

Which is part of the reason they moved the deadline to 40 days from 26. Do you really want to tell your fans that you are out of it with almost 1-1/2 months to go when it looks like you could still be within striking distance?
shrader Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Which is part of the reason they moved the deadline to 40 days from 26. Do you really want to tell your fans that you are out of it with almost 1-1/2 months to go when it looks like you could still be within striking distance? It depends on the deals. Sometimes when a team is struggling, the fans will want to see them bring in new players, even if it means they're mailing in the season. Unfortunately, most fans are probably like what you're describing, they want to win right now even when its obvious that the team sucks.
