It's pretty cool that if fans of nearly any other NHL team in the league put up this poll, Ryan Miller would probably receive about 99% of the vote

Never thought of it that way. That IS pretty cool.

I've got to say, I'm completely disappointed by Canadian fans. Chanting Tim Thomas's name in a 6-1 game? Booing the winning team--especially in a game where Canada isn't involved? Usually, the first to start the anthem-booing contest in the Stanley Cup playoffs, too. Utterly classless behavior, and the thing is, it's time and again.

Look deep in the mirror and tell me who the "ugly" nation is, Canadians.

I wanted to take Jack Johnson because I wold love for our team to have a young physical defenseman but I went with Stasny because of his upside and I remember his dad with the Quebec Nordique and if Paul has half his jam he will be a great forward and upfront is where this team needs more help right now.

Bobby Ryan is the type of player the Sabres are really lacking. Love to see him in the slug. Kesler and

Dustin Brown also looked great to me and exactly the type of guy we need (if they exhibit similar effort).

Parise was great, obviously, but is really too similar to what we've got. Kane is probably one of the last guys I would want on the Sabres right now, ironically enough. Too small, too little hitting and obvious passion. Talented as hell, and would have loved him in 2006, but doesn't bring as much as some others would in the current rules interpretation, and doesn't change the face of the team enough.

In terms of defensemen, Jack Johnson was amazing. I don't see a ton of western hockey, so this was the first I've really seen a lot of him. Eric Johnson plays an exciting game. He has the skill to make up for his mistakes most of the time, and makes some really outstanding plays. I'd probably die young if he played for Buffalo though. Rafalski is too old right now for what it would cost in trade, and makes some bad defensive choices. Not a great fit for the Sabres. Gleason, meh. Physical, and would be better than most of what we have. Wouldn't give up a ton though. Took himself out of position occasionally looking for contact.
