Bmwolf21 Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Yeah, you don't wanna get Ryan angry. What's up with these jackass athletes who think rules don't apply to them? Why do you think this is the case? It's a phrase that is on his NHL helmet, and I haven't seen any evidence that the IOC, IIHF, USA Hockey, or anyone vetted the helmet and made sure there wouldn't be any issues or warned him that the phrase fell under the prohibited corporate sponsorships clause. The Miller Time thing I understand, the issue with Matt Man I don't get at all. I can sorta understand the Miller Time thing. His use of the phrase was probably born out of the brewer's slogan, but since it isn't accompanied by a logo and the NHL hasn't said anything, I feel that this was probably a case of the IOC erring on the side of caution (and not wanting to piss off Molson). The Matt Man thing, if true, is absolutely ridiculous and whomever at the IOC suggested it be removed/covered should be ashamed of themselves.
