notwoz Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I'm curious. Does anyone have any idea of just what it is that Darcy likes about this team? He seems quite content with what he has and I can't figure out what he sees.
ThePebble19 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 This is an interesting thought that I have every so often. Is it possible that Rivet is an even worse captain than he is a player? The sad part is, if I had to pick someone else to wear the "C" and help motivate and lead this team, I really don't know who it would be...
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 With the exception of Myers or Miller....I would not care if they dealt away any of these bums...
BuffalOhio Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I see no change from anything I saw last week. And I hate our 'system'. Too passive in our own zone. Point men are always open, yet nobody ever goes deep into the corner to help retrieve the puck. Exactly what do our wingers do in our own end? Phooey. And Jack Edwards is a yellow-toothed #### sucker.
ThePebble19 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 How about Paille making Butler and Rivet look like parking cones on the same play?
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 And yet again, Paille figure skates behind our defense, untouched... This has the makings of a complete beatdown. beatdown....I feel Sabres are in meltdown...
Iron Crotch Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 This is an interesting thought that I have every so often. Is it possible that Rivet is an even worse captain than he is a player? The sad part is, if I had to pick someone else to wear the "C" and help motivate and lead this team, I really don't know who it would be... I was thinking the same thing about Rivet. If ever someone (Rivet) needed to drop the gloves to get the team fired up it is now.
ThePebble19 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 They are 100% just going through the motions. I haven't even seen one thing that leads me to believe that these guys want to turn it around before the Olympic break.

The sad part is, if I had to pick someone else to wear the "C" and help motivate and lead this team, I really don't know who it would be... They made Rivet captain days after he came to the team. That spoke volumes too me, there was no player on the team that wanted to step forward and become captain, they were quite content to let a total newcomer walk in and get the C. And you are right, there is no one on that team deserving of that honor
BuffalOhio Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 That's at least twice I've seen a Sabres forward panic with the puck and give it away inside their own zone. Stafford from behind the net to the boards, the right wing boards (where he normally would be), and MacArthur just did it. Wake the #%^$#! up, guys!
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 They are 100% just going through the motions. I haven't even seen one thing that leads me to believe that these guys want to turn it around before the Olympic break. Lou Lamerello would fire the coach...I feel that's what this team needs...
BuffalOhio Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Booing them off the ice. Well-deserved you bunch of pussies.
notwoz Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 They are 100% just going through the motions. That's what's troubling. It's not the four game losing streak (looking like five). It is the total lack of effort, or even interest, that I see from this team. Losing is one thing, indifference is another
BuffalOhio Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Does it even seem like the Sabres had 17 shots on goal?
bottlecap Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Someone should tell the Sabres that the Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards referred to them as a cadaver.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Someone should tell the Sabres that the Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards referred to them as a cadaver. Darcy would probably say that it is a term of endearment...
notwoz Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Lou Lamerello would fire the coach...I feel that's what this team needs... But Lou would have given the coach real talent to work with. Not the cast of underachievers and figue skaters that Darcy has put together
Iron Crotch Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
notwoz Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Someone should tell the Sabres that the Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards referred to them as a cadaver. That's the closest thing to an objective statement that I've ever hear from that S**Thead Edwards.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 If the Sabres miss the playoffs ...Both Ruff and Regier need to be shown the door...This better not happen...
Stoner Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I tell ya, nobody puts on a Hall of Fame ceremony like the Buffalo Sabres. It was all downhill from there. This team lost its groove on the West Coast trip when the thought was to show they were an elite team. It's in this team's head. And what's in Miller's head besides several bolts and electronic panels and alien pods is beyond me.
ParkMeadow Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Someone should tell the Sabres that the Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards referred to them as a cadaver. I can't stand that S.O.B. but he made me bust a gut laughing when he said that, "Paille sticks a fork in the cadaver that was the Buffalo Sabres!" I'm done with this game - going to do something productive for the next two hours. Let me know how it turns out...
notwoz Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking. Love the movie, love the line
darksabre Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Okay seriously, is it that hard to play some hockey? Like...seriously. What are these fruitbags doing? Rebelling against Lindy because he hurt their feelings in practice?
TheImpact Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Okay seriously, is it that hard to play some hockey? Like...seriously. What are these fruitbags doing? Rebelling against Lindy because he hurt their feelings in practice? lmao. if paille gets a trick i will turn off the game
