SabresFanInRochester Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Big name players have been traded before -- they don't get much bigger than Gretzky. I appreciate the info that Staal is a keeper in Carolina, but that is my opinion of a trade to boost the Sabres to a Cup contender. Is the trade that outrageous?

What is it that you don't understand about quantity for quality trades? PS As part of the Gretzky trade to LA, Pocklington received $15 mil USD(twenty years ago). Maybe that will shed some light on why the greatest player in NHL history was traded.
