This was a great topic to read! I think way too many people have bought into the "Blame Lalime" nonsense and it is not true. Fair enough to state Lalime's record hasn't been of epic proportions, but look at the effort and support that have been given while he was in net. Case in point versus Columbus. While, he was a part of the first fluke goal, he cannot be held responsible for the lack of offense displayed by the Sabres. We did not lost 1-0 because of some shady goal, so even if we took that unforuntate goal away...we STILL lose.

People need to stop blaming Patrick and Ryan for the teams' woes. They are keeping us in this. Blame the offense and lack of grittiness.

Exactly - if we consider Miller playing at a 10 out of 10 level, Lalime is pretty much a 9 out of 10. Both goalies have been hung out to dry by the oft-times shoddy defensive play of the rest of the team. Despite Miller and Lalime both getting shoved around, the rest of the team has bailed on coming to their aid more often than not. It's hard to be a standout in goal when opposing forwards are crashing into you on a regular basis. Man up, fer cryin' out loud! :pirate:
