sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Darcy...hello...Darcy...hello...Darcy....hello...Darcy....
nobody Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 The Sabres like to be down by 2 or 3 before they show up.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 2 -0 looking like another loss is on the way. Darcy needs at least a trade of some sort doesnt matter who anyone but Myers and probably Miller. #1 pick, Pomminstein, Weber, and Gerbe for LeCavalier
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 I am ready to go watch a different game utilizing my double play so if the sabres do anything good I can rewind and see it. Any one have a good game suggestion? Maybe I should watch the Cloumbus feed at least it is HD

His picks are continuing to develop nicely.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 I will see Darcy wed night in Raleigh I think I will point blank ask him why the hell he isnt doing anything to get this team better

TheChimp Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 I will see Darcy wed night in Raleigh I think I will point blank ask him why the hell he isnt doing anything to get this team better I'm sure he'll politely point at your ticket stub and say, "That's why." EDIT: ...then head off to his luxury box and free pretzels.
nobody Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 So I thought the BJs were getting the penalty there at the end but with them chatting with Roy I'm not so sure.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 4-0 leafs over Sens...the only bit of good news tonight...
Rip Titwide Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Im quite enamored with this Rick Nash guy.
SwampD Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 4-0 leafs over Sens...the only bit of good news tonight... Whaduya mean? We're down by 2. We got'em just where we want'em.
SwampD Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Im quite enamored with this Rick Nash guy. He's definitely for reals.
Stoner Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 So I thought the BJs were getting the penalty there at the end but with them chatting with Roy I'm not so sure. They did. Called interference -- looked like a wicked elbow.
NowDoYouBelieve Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 We're still in this, guys! Ya gotta have faith  On a positive note, Pittsburgh lost today and it appears as if Ottawa and NJ are going to lose...so we wouldn't lose any ground.
theend Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Though the Pittsburgh and Ottawa losses were tough to take, last night and tonight are the real signs that something needs to change. When you lose to top-tier teams, it just means you aren't at that level yet...but when you lose to cellar-dwellers...yeesh. Many are calling for a trade...and while I agree, I wonder if Darcy's comments in the paper the other day weren't a little bit of posturing. Despite a great and unexpected start to the season, no one except Miller and Myers has really been memorable. It makes you wonder if Darcy's comments aren't a blustering attempt to build up the stature of his own personnel...because none of the other GMs are interested in our players at the moment. People throw out trades like Lecavalier, Kovalchuk, etc...but honestly, if you were a GM of one of those teams, would you want to trade for Pomminstein, Roy, Hecht, etc. with their inconsistency and salary? Even if someone like Gerbe or a draft pick is included?
nobody Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 4-0 leafs over Sens...the only bit of good news tonight... Giguere looking to continue his shutout streak with TO.
nobody Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 They did. Called interference -- looked like a wicked elbow. So was Roy trying to get them to call a double?
Stoner Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Since when can a linesman call a penalty? 33.4 Reporting to Referee - The Linesman shall give to the Referees his interpretation of any incident that may have taken place during the game. The Linesman may stop play and report what he witnessed to the Referees when: (i) There are too many men on the ice Rule 74 (ii) Articles are thrown on the ice from the players’ bench or penalty bench Rule 75 (iii) When team personnel interfere with a game official Rule 40 (iv) When a player who has lost or broken his stick receives one illegally Rule 10 The Linesman must report upon completion of play, any circumstances pertaining to: (i) Major penalties (ii) Match penalties (iii) Misconduct penalties (iv) Game Misconduct penalties (v) Abuse of Officials (vi) Physical Abuse of Officials (vii) Unsportsmanlike Conduct (viii) Double-minor penalty when it is apparent that an injury has resulted from a high-stick that has gone undetected by the Referees Rule 20 Rule 21 Rule 22 Rule 23 Rule 40 Rule 41 Rule 75 Rule 60 Should a Linesman witness a foul (above) committed by an attacking player (undetected by the Referees) prior to the attacking team scoring a goal, the Linesman shall report what he witnessed to the Referees, the goal shall be disallowed and the appropriate penalty assessed.
theend Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Welcome friend. Yeah, the handling of the goalies is an absolute mystery. Thanks for the welcome, PA. One can only hope that Lalime plays one of the next three games to give Miller a little more rest before the Olympics. If it were me, hell, I'd play Miller against Boston and then Lalime against Carolina AND San Jose. But though I like Lindy's decisions most of the time, this is where I constantly shrug my shoulders and ask where he's coming from.
nobody Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Do the Sabres not want to ever have a PP?
SwampD Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 That goal is another Lindy Ruff Special - three guys behind the icing line and another just outside of it. :wallbash:
notwoz Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 People throw out trades like Lecavalier, Kovalchuk, etc...but honestly, if you were a GM of one of those teams, would you want to trade for Pomminstein, Roy, Hecht, etc. with their inconsistency and salary? Even if someone like Gerbe or a draft pick is included? That's Darcy's dilemma in a nutshell. She doesn't have anything to offer.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Lindy has mishandled the goalies all year. last night should have been lalime at home and miller on road with lalime getting carolina again thur night. Oh well this one is over
nobody Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 You just know that Lindy wants to put Miller in.
