X. Benedict Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 They have got to start shooting from the angles on the PP. The shot from the point is so predictable with our PP. nah....it just has to hit the net.
Stoner Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I know this is probably beating a dead horse....but the crowd is way too soft in this game...for a rivalry, and a game this big, this place should be rocking. I loved hearing how loud the Pittsburgh crowd was the other night. I have nothing to add. Just like the home fans.
Stoner Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Lydman has played a perfect game so far. Ergggg.
SwampD Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Ergggg. A turnover in the offensive zone should never end up in your own net. What were the other four guys doing? That goal is NOT on him.
Stoner Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 There you go. You and Ricky J. are dreaming.
Stoner Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 We should rip their faces off in the 3rd... Shut up. Just kidding. No, seriously, shut up.
SwampD Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Shut up. Just kidding. No, seriously, shut up.

BuffalOhio Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 At least Butler put his shot on net, all Sekera did was miss everything and everyone. 44 = Zhitnik Jr., but he is having a good game. A turnover in the offensive zone should never end up in your own net. What were the other four guys doing? That goal is NOT on him. Um, Lydman needs to see that he's got 3 guys AHEAD of him on that rush and KNOW that he CAN NOT turn it over in that situation. Look at that. ONE odd-man rush, and they scored. Way to deflect it in, too, Rivet. As soon as Lydman turned that puck over, I said, "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo", and you saw the result.
darksabre Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 A turnover in the offensive zone should never end up in your own net. What were the other four guys doing? That goal is NOT on him. That goal was Rivet's fault. Regardless of whether or not the shot went off Rivet's stick, he was trying to do far too much defensively. This hearkens back to the discussion in the Trade thread. Either make a good defensive play or let Miller see the shot if you can't. Rivet tried to make a play despite being beat.

Miller is consistently beaten up high by the Sens - you think they don't have the book on him?!

ThePebble19 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I will settle for 2 goals this period, but they really could use another third like they had against Carolina in Nov.
SwampD Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I will settle for 2 goals this period, but they really could use another third like they had against Carolina in Nov. I'll settle for one.
fiftyone Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I'll settle for one. Chances are you'll be settling for a loss, then.
darksabre Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Miller is consistently beaten up high by the Sens - you think they don't have the book on him?! I think most teams know Miller's weaknesses. I just think the Sens have some players with a natural ability to beat Miller. There are just some things that can not be explained by numbers or logic. Some guys just have that "it". It just so happens that Ottawa has Spezza and Alfie. Just like there are some player who will be consistently stonewalled by a particular goalie, there are some goalies who will be consistently beaten for no apparent reason by a certain player or two.
Calvin Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Miller is consistently beaten up high by the Sens - you think they don't have the book on him?! owned, up high, glove side, again and again.
darksabre Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 NOBODY ACTUALLY SCORES THAT GOAL! I just don't understand. :o
ThePebble19 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 This will now stay 2-0 until about 3 minutes to go, when we score 1 goal, and put a feverish fury on only to come up short yet again.....
X. Benedict Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 NOBODY ACTUALLY SCORES THAT GOAL! I just don't understand. :o Spezza with two amazing shots.
SabreInFla Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 We say it every year, but it obvious that this team needs to make a move or were going to get bounced in the first round.....if we get there.
PromoTheRobot Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 These last few games are a reminder that the Sabres are still a flawed team. We'll make the playoffs. We may even win a series, but we are miles from competing for a cup. What disturbs me most is how the Sabres are letting the Sens push them around. No one is fighting back. PTR
ThePebble19 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Apparently Elliott is the second coming when he plays us.
