Stoner Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Wonder if this will be the game that forces Lindy to pull the reins back in.
darksabre Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Lydman does his job of taking away the pass and Miller blows it. Of course that doesn't happen if the D doesn't give up a 2 on 1 with Crosby. Way to help Miller out. Maybe Lindy should try Lalime against the Pens with Miller's recent record against them.
SDS Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Will someone pull the Full Monty's Monty off the ice already? A point blank shot that clears the offensive zone because he misses the net - only to follow up with drilling one into the back of Tim Kennedy that leads to the rush back down ice.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 What a terrible period this turned out to be.

Don't blame The Sieve.
Stoner Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Promo on WGR. Mike Schopp says Myers, not Miller, is the Sabres' MVP.
Calvin Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Is Kaleta hurt? Haven't seen him since he blocked that shot in the first period.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I am worried about the Sens Wednesday....Anyone else???
Calvin Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I am worried about the Sens Wednesday....Anyone else??? One assumes we're not going to play an open end-to-end offensive-minded game like this against the Sens..
Saudi Arabia Rob Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Is Kaleta hurt? Haven't seen him since he blocked that shot in the first period. The infamous "lower body injury."
Stoner Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 You have to believe this one is going to be rattling around Darcy's head on Trade Deadline Eve.
CallawaySabres Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I have not been able to watch much but it sounds like the offense is not a problem, Miller is.....He has saved them a bunch of times so chalk it up to oh well. I was really excited to finally sit and watch the 3rd until I blinked and they gave up 4!
novascotiaguy Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Still lots of time no need to talk like it is over. They will come back in the third and will take it to ot.
Stoner Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Still lots of time no need to talk like it is over. They will come back in the third and will take it to ot. Win or lose, I still think that second period is going to carry a lot of weight with both Lindy and Darcy.
novascotiaguy Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Win or lose, I still think that second period is going to carry a lot of weight with both Lindy and Darcy. Why would it you can't make moves by one second period stuff like that will happen in an 82 game season.
Stoner Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Miller charges off the ice first after the second period -- his superstition is to always be the last off the ice -- then takes a penalty in the third. Ryan Miller has lost it. :)

A game like this has to carry more weight. It's a classic measuring stick game, going into the lair of the Cup champs. It's just a hunch. Relax. I'm almost always wrong. What I do suspect is that Lindy has had just about enough of the loose defensive play in recent weeks.

I thought the last game against them we came back from 3 down said alot. But i get your point this could say just as much. I'm worried about wed.
nobody Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Let's go Buffalo! Let's go Buffalo! Let's go Buffalo!

Nothing has changed as far as Monty & Lydman's play, despite the press box detour. If Darcy has been putting away any thoughts of trading Lydman, this should bring him back to reality. Today's game is the kind of game we should have Sekera in.

If Alfie and Spezza do their usual number on the Sabres, it could start to look like a trend: can the Sabres shut big guns down?
SwampD Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 We gotta get one quick to make it a game. LET"S GO!!!!!
Stoner Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Pull the goalie! Like we could tell the difference tonight.
nobody Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Here we go Sabres, here we go! Here we go Sabres, here we go!
