ThePebble19 Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Who is going to explain why Hecht didn't shoot right there? Ooh....I got it! It's hard to get an odd-man shot off in the NHL.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 exactly 2 minutes to play...Bruins are outplaying us but....
sabresnutinphoenix Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Bruins pulled the goalie...
Eleven Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 I'm still pissed at the Hecht situation, which could have put it away, but here we go; a little over a min. left, and an empty net. Let's Go Buffalo!
sabresnutinphoenix Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Did Stafford play in the 3rd? I haven't seen him...
Eleven Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 I'm kind of glad it was that record a-hole Recchi with the high-stick.
repster Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 That was nerve wracking! 2 points. Ottawa 7 back again. Breathing room again.
wjag Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Nice to be home in the original blues.. On to Pittsburgh...
Armydoogie Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 YES!!! Go Sabres! (Any win is a good win!) :D
Calvin Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Myers came really close on that empty-netter (haven't seen a Sabres empty net goal in a while!)
SwampD Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Pretty good win there. Although, Boston is pretty bad. When is the last time we actually scored an empty net goal? I really cant remember.

SwampD Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Hey, the Sabs used to have a specialist in that department. I think he plays for Boston now. I never realized how important that role was, not for the Sabres' win, but for MY sanity.
BetweenThePipes00 Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Stafford did play in the third but for some reason mair took his last shift ... which was weird because I thoughit was Stafford and Vanek's best game in a while, while Mair was not as effective as he has been of late ... They sat on that lead in the third more than I'd like, but I never thought they would win both of these games after the long trip, especially with NJ and Boston desperate. Pat Miller on the back for the third period and take the two points.
nobody Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Did Stafford play in the 3rd? He did play about 3 minutes per the NHL site. Guess Lindy was shortening his bench.

Stoner Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Buffalo PP Savard for crosschecking Vanek from his spot Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: Boston: Goal of the season, if ya ask me.

Mair being out there on the Roy Vanek line then got me thinking since there was another shift earlier in the period where Pominville was out there.
nobody Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Goal of the season, if ya ask me. That was classic Vanek.
