R_Dudley Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Agreed, however, if you are legitimately competing for the top of the conference there should NOT be any EXPECTED loss. This I'm betting this is a solid Sabres win tonight.. You all are worried about big bad San Jose. Well maybe San Jose should be worried about big bad Buffalo. Buffalo 4-2 I like your attitude Mr. I expect NOT to be blown out. I expect us to be able to compete with the other top teams in the league. I know we can win if we play a solid 60 minutes and every one is playing hard, especially if Miller is on tonight.. Let's go Bflo time to show the rest of the league we are a top team.
R_Dudley Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Yep. I'm still waiting for the Big Bad Sabres to look elite on this trip. Did you even watch the Phoenix game, you idiot? I guess games like that, you immediately forget, so that your dark vision of Sabres hockey can be achieved. You're a creep. Are you a somebody or a everybody ? Okay lets make everybody happy and have somebody get adjusted to the new meds.. :nana:
FogBat Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I am a Shark fan but Sabres definitely my second team since I grew up not far from Buffalo. Used to go to a few Sabre games a year. So I do have a soft spot for them. I'll be going to the game tonight and its one where I'll be a little conflicted. When its starts I'm sure it will be no problem though. Especially if Buffalo were to score first. We have excellent seats being in the 9th row behind the Sabre net towards the corner. Should get good looks at Myers and Miller. I'm curious to see how Myers handles Thorton, Heatley and Marleau. Thornton and Heatley both have good size and hard to move off the puck. Sharks have several other big forwards as well. Clowe, Staubitz, Shelly. Anyway, should be a great game between two top teams. The last time Buffalo was in they handed it to us if I remember correctly. Good luck guys! Welcome to the board. We won't hold it against you that you root for the Sharks. We've had people come by here who were fans of other teams and who behaved very well on here. Swedishconnection comes to mind. Dagwood? Well, he's another story. He was a Sens homer and was quite boastful about it.
bob_sauve28 Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Boyle is Out. (upper body injury) Crap, I wanted to see him play  Oh well, at least he can't hurt the Sabres
carpandean Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Swedishconnection comes to mind. Millbank, the Leafs fan, is also good people.
FogBat Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Millbank, the Leafs fan, is also good people. Ah, yes. He's a cool cat. Thanx for the reminder. Quite a few good sports out there, regardless of who they root for. OTOH, if we were to go over the Flyersphans.com and try to be incognito or at least civil to them, we wouldn't be afforded the same respect.
Kristian Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 But why ever try being civil to a Cryers fan? People who boo players being taken off the ice on a strecther deserve nothing but pure hatred, no matter who they root for. I feel quite confident that if Zednik had his injury in Philly the city of brotherly pukes would've booed him his first time back, if not when he was rushing to the bench. I. Hate. The. Cryers. And. Their. Loser. Fans.

DukeOfSanRamon Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010  Crap, I wanted to see him play  Oh well, at least he can't hurt the Sabres It's a big loss because for the pp and also in the Sharks own end. I think he is SJ's best defensive dman as well. Rob Blake does ok on the point on the pp so I'm not to worried from that perspective. Sabres can feel free to give Rivet back to us any time if you think Myers is enough.
CallawaySabres Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I think they come out with a great effort tonight. The Sens are playing REALLY well and we need to keep pace. Sabes are really becoming a fun team to watch again and this should be another entertaining battle.
novascotiaguy Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Just heard the coach from the Sharks say how excited he is to see Tyler myers play, the entire nhl is loving this kid... sabres win 2-1
Wacka Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I understand they are playing the SJ broadcast on MSG. Drew Remenda (sp?) the Sharks color man is a good broadcaster.
... Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Yeah, so far, I like the PbP and color guys.
wjag Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 TC stays HOT!!!!! Buffalo: :worthy: San Jose:
... Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Wow! Some sweet pressure before that goal, too. Nice. I hope they keep it up.
Figster Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Connolly has the 3rd longest point streak in Sabres franchise history, 5th in the history of the NHL, wow!
... Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 They need to kill this handily and keep the momentum away from the Sharks.
wjag Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 great start by the good guys.. nice PK San Jose PP @ 44% for the last week... yikes.. stay out of the box....
SwampD Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 great start by the good guys.. nice PK San Jose PP @ 44% for the last week... yikes.. stay out of the box.... Gonna be tough w/ ticky tack like that. outside the crease and being pushed into him. oh well, they killed it.
SJSharks Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Sabres have come out strong. Hope my Sharkies can pick it up.
SJSharks Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Drew Remenda is a great pbp guy and Jamie Baker is quality color commentary
SJSharks Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Lots of penalties being called so far. I'm stuck streaming the SJ radio broadcast, are these penalties legit or are the refs whistle happy?
