Corp000085 Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 10:30pm First game I'll be able to watch all week. LETS GO BUFF-A-LO!
BuffalOhio Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 10:30pm First game I'll be able to watch all week. Loser. You're not supporting your team with this attitude! Very shameful. I hate to sound this way, but this is probably a loss tonight. Thornton AND Heatley on the same team. Let's hope I'm wrong!
EdwardSauve Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 This is a chance for them to show that they can play with the "Big Boys". If they lose, most will likely shrug it off as being expected. However, if they win, this Hellish road trip becomes immediately successful.

Agreed, however, if you are legitimately competing for the top of the conference there should NOT be any EXPECTED loss.
Stoner Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Yep. I'm still waiting for the Big Bad Sabres to look elite on this trip. Did you even watch the Phoenix game, you idiot? I guess games like that, you immediately forget, so that your dark vision of Sabres hockey can be achieved. You're a creep.
deluca67 Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 What happened to all of the Pollyanna's this morning? Must still be in bed dreaming of sugarplum fairies and such. The Sabres are 2-1-2, 6 out of 10 points and the one regulation loss was a pretty good effort over the final 50 minutes. Not a bad road trip results wise. Consistent effort and execution wise? A different story. That is what this team is. I won't be judging the team based on a win or lose. I'm going to be looking to see which Sabres decide to show up against the top team in league and which decide to take the night off.

I guess games like that, you immediately forget, so that your dark vision of Sabres hockey can be achieved. You're a creep. I was going to respond a lot less harshly. Anyway, tonight, let's see a win.

One that can help him with his ... uh ... special needs.
FearTheReaper Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Luckily i've been able to DVR every game this week. It'll be very interesting to see if the boys can keep the big "MO" going against one of the leagues elite. LETS GO SABRES!!!
wjag Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I'm betting this is a solid Sabres win tonight.. You all are worried about big bad San Jose. Well maybe San Jose should be worried about big bad Buffalo. Buffalo 4-2

This game is a real test for our boys. A win here would be real special

DukeOfSanRamon Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I am a Shark fan but Sabres definitely my second team since I grew up not far from Buffalo. Used to go to a few Sabre games a year. So I do have a soft spot for them. I'll be going to the game tonight and its one where I'll be a little conflicted. When its starts I'm sure it will be no problem though. Especially if Buffalo were to score first. We have excellent seats being in the 9th row behind the Sabre net towards the corner. Should get good looks at Myers and Miller. I'm curious to see how Myers handles Thorton, Heatley and Marleau. Thornton and Heatley both have good size and hard to move off the puck. Sharks have several other big forwards as well. Clowe, Staubitz, Shelly. Anyway, should be a great game between two top teams. The last time Buffalo was in they handed it to us if I remember correctly. Good luck guys!

Last time we played the Sharks it was after a very bad plane crash in Clarence. Very emotional game. Very emotional win. That game had passion. Tonight would be a huge win on the road. Go Sabres!

I guess games like that, you immediately forget, so that your dark vision of Sabres hockey can be achieved. You're a creep. Ummmm... was it just me, or is OGB experiencing some internal conflict? (He was berating himself???) Anyways... I love the Sabres in the Tank. They always seem to do well there, especially when SJ is near the top of the conference. (I seem to recall a certain 8-0 road win in 2006-07.) Sabres 4-1.
Eleven Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 So, what's everyone doing for the game? I normally watch weekend games either at the rink or at a small variety of different establishments with friends, but the 1030 start, on a Saturday, has me thinking there won't be too many places with open bar stools and game sound over the speakers. Plus, that's late for me to get started. I might do the couch for this one. I don't think I want to be at Frizzy's or Cole's when a game ends at 1am.
rickshaw Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Well this game could go two ways. We are either gonna be in a very tight game, hopefully winning it, or we're getting blown out. Hoping for points in a big way, but if they don't get any tonight, they better get 'em against Vancouver. I considered making the 4 1/2 hour drive to Vancity to cheer on the boys, but this is our year of fiscal responsibility at our house. We were more than happy the past year and a half to help out with our struggling economy, but this year we aren't helping out at all.
Armydoogie Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 This is waaaaay off topic, but it is about another HUGE Buffalo Sabres fan - My first cousin, Brandon Block, and his Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Team, "South Buffalo"!!! http://www.pitchengine.com/free-release.php?id=40185 I'm sure it will end up moved onto an appropriate discussion board, just wanted to share with the Sabres fans back there in Buffalo. I can't wait for this game to start! Going to bed right now, so I can get up at 6:30 am to listen to it on the net. LET'S GO BUFF-A-LO!!! (4-1, Vanek (x2), Connolly, Tallinder - just a gut feeling)

Can't get enough drinking done in the 3 hours after the game?
Eleven Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Can't get enough drinking done in the 3 hours after the game? Are you kidding? The last time I was out past 2, I was in a wedding party. Are you getting me confused with chz and her margarita nights?
sabresnutinphoenix Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Don't look now but the Sens are starting to win some games...I hate them!!!
