nucci Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I actually think the Sabres have no chance in this SO. So I'll be really really happy if they get this extra point. Why?
matter2003 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 why do they only score when the have to?
nobody Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Time for Myers with the slap shot from 10 feet..
matter2003 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Kaleta?? Well, whatever, got a point they didn't deserve....
... Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 They played like hell, they're lucky to get a point.
matter2003 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 They played like hell, they're lucky to get a point. team hasn't lost in regulation since the Washington game in December...quite a run of games with consecutive points by Buffalo...
nucci Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Kaleta?? Well, whatever, got a point they didn't deserve.... I don't know. Coming back from 2 down on the road and tie it up? I think a well deserved point.
SwampD Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Kaleta? Anyone else they could have put out there, you could question mark after.
zow2 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 oh well. too bad. Vanek, Roy and McArthur(?) had the shootout game winners on their sticks and blew it. They owe Millsie a beer.
nobody Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Why? Why would I be happy if they got the second point? As to why I didn't think they had a chance? I guess the results showed why. The Isles have a group of good SO scorers while the Sabres don't.
matter2003 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 interestingly, it was their first road OT/shootout loss of the year...all 5 of them before tonite have been at home...
nucci Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Anyone else they could have put out there, you could question mark after. You're right. Bench was getting short.
blugold43 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Anyone else they could have put out there, you could question mark after. myers was the guy to send out there at that point

Would have pulled us even with NJ for conference lead in points had we won...currently sit with Washington 1 point behind...
... Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 team hasn't lost in regulation since the Washington game in December...quite a run of games with consecutive points by Buffalo... They still stunk for 1.5 periods, and were not playing up to the caliber they've played in other "comeback" games for the other 1.5 periods. And they're lucky to get a point tonight.
plenzmd1 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 myers was the guy to send out there at that point That was my thought as well, but maybe Lindy thought nothing to lose sending Pat out there. He makes it his confidence goes sky high, he misses no one mistakes him for Gretz anyway. I'll take the point, now onto the westewrn swing!!!

I think a well deserved point. They got lucky to get a point. The ref's call on the no goal for the Islanders was weak - it should've counted and it would've been 3-1 and lights out. Miller didn't seem like Miller in the shootout. If Vanek could've picked the top corner it would've been two points... In any case, they didn't deserve it, but this time they didn't get it either.

Stoner Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I'm glad to see folks calling it like it was. This team is falling into some horrible habits. What the hell was Harry talking about on the disallowed goal? How could a high stick on a Sabre disallow a goal -- when no penalty was called? And why doesn't Kevin know that when goaltender interference disallows a goal, a penalty doesn't always follow? Anyway, happy I didn't have to take the "Cheap Win" shower.

This is the type of post-game analysis that we missed for two weeks. Good to have you back.
