Rip Titwide Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Is diminishing the description of the hit meant to inflate the perceived severity of the suspension? Because this really makes no sense at all. What they describe is a viscious check that might land someone a 5 minute major. Why even give the explanation? I saw something completely different. Im OK with 20 no matter what sideways description the league gives it.

Im OK with 20 no matter what sideways description the league gives it. I think they're trying to send the message to the players that it needs to stop, but also trying to tell the media that the hitting in the league isn't completely out of control. There really is no way to try to send those two conflicting messages.
Two or less Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Kassian returned to the OHL today after his suspension as Windsor beat the Greyhounds 2-0. Kassian did not score, but did shoot the puck after a off-sides whistle at the Greyhound goalie and started a pretty big fight.... Kassian dropped his gloves against the toughest OHL fighter Dylan King. Btw, next Friday (march 12), the NHL Network will air Windsor vs. London... two of the top 3 teams battle of the OHL. A first hand look at Zach Kassian.

SabresRepublic Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 That was an ugly hit, but he's certainly handy with this fists. Perfect guy to have on the ice when dealing with twits and goons like Neil, Ruutu and the rest. How is he offensively? Is he Kaleta at his best, or is he a legit second-line forward? It would be too much to expect first line offense from him - kind of like expecting Myers to lead the team in ice time in his first season.. wait a sec, that did happen! Methinks NOT! Darko Roto Rooter, Neil and the rest of the goon/twit ilk are careerists in the NHL and therefore they will NOT be around long enough to earn a pension in an aptitude and skill environment - right Bettman. Too bad for Ottawa, the capital of Canada and the birthplace of hockey! Kaleta is a much better cog in the Sabres machinery when he plays aptitude and skill. And, he was rewarded as are the Sabres with the winning goal against the Rangers tonight! GO BUFFALO SABRES!!!
