BillHoppe Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Patrick Kaleta thinks he could possibly play tonight. Lindy ruled called him "doubtful" earlier, however. Kaleta skated with a handful players earlier this morning. "Tonight. It could happen. It could happen. We’ll see." If not tonight, Monday? "I’ll talk with a couple of the guys, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m running around tonight."
nobody Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 If I were Lindy, I'd sit him out another game to be safe.
Mbossy Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Any insight into what Vanek's upper body injury is?
BillHoppe Posted December 19, 2009 Author Report Posted December 19, 2009 Any insight into what Vanek's upper body injury is? Well, Lindy claims it's not the shoulder problem from October. He mentioned skating, so it's probably a lower body injury. Here's a Lindy quote ... "I have all the confidence in the world that he can get (to 30 goals). He had the shoulder injury earlier in the year, which really hurt him, and now he’s being bothered by an injury that’s hampering his skating a little bit. If you can’t skate, you can’t play in this game. That’s just where it is. I mean, he’s trying to suck it up and play. I’m just telling you you can’t play like that and be effective."

Vanek isn't on the ice for warm-ups.
wjag Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Vanek isn't on the ice for warm-ups. Rut Roh
SabresRepublic Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Vanek isn't on the ice for warm-ups. It must have happened after the wraparound goal. That type of move/acceleration requires great skill!
deluca67 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 It must have happened after the wraparound goal. That type of move/acceleration requires great skill! He hasn't skated well for a while. They should sit him till he is 100% and just ride the Ryan Miller train. They are going to need 100% Vanek down stretch.
