Bmwolf21
now code is reporting that the habs have made an offer as well let the habs have him...or better yet, let the Leafs or Rangers grab him and get older, slower and more prone to dumb penalties in the process... deluca67
Maybe they have someone in mind for Bertuzzi to cripple.
ThePolishSabre
Hate Bertuzzi all you want, be he's a hell of a player. Big, strong, and knows how how to put the puck in the back of the net.

And he knows how to cheap shot. He's no player at all. He's crap. He's not even a man. He's a coward. I hope he loses everything he has in court. The fact he's not rotting in jail is a joke.

Eleven
I don't want him. And I doubt my mother knows who he is. EDIT: It has nothing to do with the Dave Moore hit, either. I just would prefer to keep the forward corps as is.
gregkash
Bertuzzi is a hell of a player and would be a great asset to this team. He messed up, before, yes. So did Danny Heatley and I think all of you would take him.

I am not excusing Heatley's actions, but he had an ACCIDENT and he has shown remorse; Bertuzzi INTENTIONALLY ended a guy's career and nearly killed him. Bertuzzi shouldn't just not be in the NHL, he should be in jail.
gregkash
I don't think bertuzzi intentionally tried to end the dudes life. It was a heat of the moment thing. Don't get me wrong, it was a cheap shot and a stain on his sweater, but I have trouble believing he went, "hey, i'm gonna end this guys carreer." But I do agree, those two situations are in no way similar. I watched that entire game when Bert cheapshotted Steve Moore, and the referees let that get out of hand. You could feel the tension rising and rising and soon the refs lost control of the game, and we all know what happened after that. Because Bertuzzi couldnt control himself, a kid's career is over. I dont care if he wasnt a great player, it doesnt matter. Bertuzzi got nothing more than a slap on the wrist from the NHL, and that is the real tragedy. If it was any of us, we'd be locked up for 10+ years for manslaugher/vechilar homicide.

If it was any of us, we'd be locked up for 10+ years for manslaugher/vechilar homicide. Yes Heatley did kill someone. He plead guilty to 2nd degree vehicular homicide and 3 other lesser charges and was sentenced to 3 years of probation and several other conditions. Dan Snyder's family DIDN'T WANT Heatley to go to jail which was a big part of the reason that Heatley didn't get any jail time. Did his status as a pro athlete also factor into his not getting jail time? I don't know, it's possible, but I don't know the answer to that question. Bertuzzi jumped a guy from behind and pile drove his head into the ice. I said before, I will say it again, Todd Bertuzzi is lucky that Steve Moore is still alive. The guy has shown little to no remorse for what he did. He even went so far as to sue Moore for lawyer costs. That is just plain pathetic.
Saber61
i have to agree both guys should be in jail... any normal day to day person would be in jail already. celebrity status should not seperate or put a person above the law in anyway... yet it still seems to. I'm not sure if a hockey player in Atlanta equals a celebrity. Anyway. You can't compare the two. What Heatley did was a horrible accident. He and Snyder both used horrible judgement when they got into the car. The accident happened. What Bertuzzi did he did so after much thought. He stepped on to the ice with the intent of hurting Moore. Moore was an innocent victim. Bertuzzi stalked him. Attacked him and crippled him. Snyder chose to get into the car and payed dearly for it. Moore was simply earning a paycheck to provide for himself and his family when Bertuzzi decided to take that away from him.
