DC Road Crew

I'm interested to hear from anyone who went to the Tampa Road Crew party. How was the set up? Were the celebs accessable? How hard was the trivia and were the prizes worth brushing up on my Sabres history? Did entrance include food or drink? Regardless, I'm going to make the trip to the city from Southern Maryland (about an 1 1/2 south) and enjoy the hell out of it. Just curious as to what to expect. I met Linday Ruff when I was a kid and he was wearing #22. I hope to meet him again 30+ years later.

It...was...awesome. Kudos to Kelly's for putting on a great event. Current players did not show up, but I think all of the coaching staff was there--Rossi, Lindy, Darcy. Sylvester, Neale, and Jeanneret also showed up--though the latter two left after about an hour.

 

What was really great was the opportunity to actually talk to Darcy--Lindy was more in a "shake hand, take photo, move along" mode, but I heard he had a handler who was sort of pushing it in that direction (i didn't have that problem).

 

As an aside, I was told Biron is not happenning--Darcy predicted he would end up staying with the Isles until trade deadline.
