We have one of the worst offenses in the league, thanks to:

Thomas Vanek

Derek Roy

Drew Stafford

Tim Connolly

Jason Pominville

Way to not show up this season, pus$ies.

Northeast GP W L OTL Pts GF GA

Buffalo 31 20 9 2 42 85 68 <---This is what counts, not GF!!!

Boston 32 16 10 6 38 84 80

Ottawa 32 16 12 4 36 92 96

Montreal 34 15 16 3 33 88 99

Toronto 33 12 14 7 31 97 116

Not to belabor the point, but we are ranked 19th in the NHL at 2.68 G/G...more towards the middle than the bottom

It means nothing if you can't score. First place or not, Regier has to be thinking about shaking up the forward ranks. Or forcing Ruff to hire a PP coach. The latest scheme isn't working either.

Game thoughts...

- I'll repeat my first intermission comment...AWFUL!

- I wouldn't be disappointed if any of the FAB 5(Roy, Connolly, Pominville, Stafford or Vanek) were traded at any point this season or off-season. In fact, I wanted to see this happen this PAST off-season.

- McCutcheon should be fired. The PP is a cluster#%^$#!!

- The Sabres could not have been more guilty of standing around doing NOTHING on the second Ottawa goal.

- If I was Miller, I'd be pissed right now.

- Why does Carrie Underwood have such low standards?

Yeah the one time we see a BUF player clear the crease its called

Of course if you're wiping out someone who isn't in possession, it's interference.

Honestly. It's so mind boggling how bad we play against Ottawa.

Ottawa was awful tonight and yet we get shutout?

I say just forfeit the points and rest your players. It's clear we have no answer.

22-6-4 is Ottawa's record against us in the last 32 games. 48 points out of 64 points on the table. OMG!!!!

They should have played Lalime tonight. They should have called up some toughness from the farm. They need to do something different against these guys. I'm so frustrated it's not even funny.

What's equally frustrating is the poor-mouthing Lindy did before this one. It was nigh on scandalous. I'd fire his ass for these comments alone. This is how these streaks get new life. "Miami's just got our number," said Lou Saban.

What you just said is so stupid I can't even think right now. This play happens 50 times a game and is NEVER called. It's NOT A PENALTY.

This was the first game this season where I really was unable to see even a whole minute; I understand the Sabs lost, and I see the comments, but I would caution against drastic comments. Win four, lose one, is a decent formula. (Then again, I did NOT see it, and if they played the way they did against the Devils, well, let's all get pissed off.)

I made it home in time for the post-game show, where Miller was awarded the first star, and whatever anonymity who plays in the Ottawa net was awarded the second. Is this MSG, or is this real? The anonymity had a shutout; give him the gold star.
