SwampD Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 What does a gay horse eat? gerb-HEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYY!!! Sorry, boring night for me and not a lot people online to say they are wrong. Someone say vanek's goal was the best of his career, please? Upon further review,... it was pretty sweet. He had to kick the puck out to his stick then sweep it around to the other side. oof!
ThePebble19 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 I'll tell you what, Gerbe is playing like he doesn't want to go back. The tentative, hesitant play we saw from him last year seems to be in the past, because he is all over the place tonight.
Stoner Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Good call Swamp. You almost nailed the Vanek call. You have a knack for these things! I loved Kennedy's body language after getting plastered to the ice. He jumped up with a righteous fury! You know he wants to jam it down Pat Kane's craw. This was immediately before the Mac goal.

ROC Sabres Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Upon further review,... it was pretty sweet. He had to kick the puck out to his stick then sweep it around to the other side. oof! But the best goal he has ever scored??? It is up there, I don't deny.
... Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Gerbe and Vanek are playing extremely well tonight. I hope Gerbe makes me eat my words, and so far he's been doing so. With regards to Lalime - he's much sharper than he's been in the past when thrust into a similar scenario...sort of. I mean, when was the last time the back up was sent down to sharpen his game and then played against one of the top teams in the league? I think the adrenaline must be flowing on the team right now.

It wasn't 2 but if (when :) ) he scores in the third I'll take it. But the best goal he has ever scored??? It is up there, I don't deny. Not his best but still awesome.
wjag Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Kane to Sharp ..Defensive zone turnover.. Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: Chicago: :censored:
ROC Sabres Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 so now it's up to Kaleta to get on the board
PromoTheRobot Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 The Lalime haters will talk about him letting Chicago back into the game, but it would be 8-2 Chicago if not for him. Sloppy lazy puck handling in our zone there. PTR

wjag Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Kane sure has some moves.. He's as slippery as an eel out there... Nice PK by the Sabres tonight..
Eleven Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 The Sabs need to press into the Chicago zone with a one-goal lead and not sit back in their own end.
wjag Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Looks like the Sabres game plan for the third is to defend the fort and wait for that opportunity to counter attack.
ROC Sabres Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 The Sabs need to press into the Chicago zone with a one-goal lead and not sit back in their own end. Sabs need to learn how to clear a puck. We ca worry about the rest after.
Eleven Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Looks like the Sabres game plan for the third is to defend the fort and wait for that opportunity to counter attack. I hate that plan.
ROC Sabres Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 I hate that plan. It makes sense until you are losing. Why they keep implementing it after that point is beyond me.
Eleven Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 It makes sense until you are losing. Why they keep implementing it after that point is beyond me. "Defending the fort" does not make sense when up one goal. ON EDIT: with eight minutes left.
SwampD Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 I hate that plan. Me too. They just need to settle down. ...and score on this PP.
ROC Sabres Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 "Defending the fort" does not make sense when up one goal. ON EDIT: with eight minutes left. When you're a buffalo sabre... it does. ;)
K-9 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Looks like we're skating in mud. GO SABRES!!!
wjag Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Six minutes to go.. possibly one of the ugliest PPs of the year..
