Kristian Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 Bump Here's another addition to Philly goaltending mediocrity. Link Heck, any team stupid enough to sign Emery to anything other than driving the zamboni are clearly desperate, and cannot be counted on to make rational decisions.

You have just insulted the fine workers league-wide that drive the zambonis. B-)
Kristian Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 You have just insulted the fine workers league-wide that drive the zambonis. B-) You're right. I extend my most sincere apology to that fine corps of people B-)
Kevbeau Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 FWIW I heard the Flyers have had a scout in Atlanta watching Lehtonen work out for the past week. Not sure of their level of interest, but obviously they intend to do something about their goaltending.
LabattBlue Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 I wouldn't be shocked if Richards goes if they make a big move. They like Carter much more than Richards. My jaw would hit the floor if they traded Richards....and if the team they traded him to happened to be the Sabres, I'd probably have a heart attack.
Two or less Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 FWIW I heard the Flyers have had a scout in Atlanta watching Lehtonen work out for the past week. Supposetly, Montreal media thinks tonight is a showcase game for Halak to Philly...
Mbossy Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 They are also very interested in Jaroslav Halak. Supposetly, Montreal media thinks tonight is a showcase game for Halak to Philly... My magic 8 ball says their wish will not come true.
spndnchz Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Leighton picked up off waivers... http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=302452
Eleven Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 They are also very interested in Jaroslav Halak. Supposetly, Montreal media thinks tonight is a showcase game for Halak to Philly... TSN is reporting that the Habs have offered Halak to the FLyers: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=302443
blugold43 Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 if they're looking for a goalie i heard biron could be on the trading block. i hope they don't outbid darcy for him...
Kristian Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Well, the Pens just murdered them 6-1, and they already fired their coach. Man, I can't stop smiling :D Looks like they'll do the standard Philly thing when things get hot - Fire the coach, trade for a goalie, move a skill player.
spndnchz Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Emery done for the year with avascular necrosis, needs surgery.
shrader Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Emery done for the year with avascular necrosis, needs surgery. You couldn't just say "hip surgery" could you? Instead you force us all to head to TSN to see just what the hell avascular necrosis is.
spndnchz Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 You couldn't just say "hip surgery" could you? Instead you force us all to head to TSN to see just what the hell avascular necrosis is. From the Mayo Clinic Avascular necrosis is the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. Also called osteonecrosis, avascular necrosis can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and the bone's eventual collapse. The blood flow to a section of bone can be interrupted if the bone is fractured or the joint becomes dislocated. Avascular necrosis is also associated with long-term use of high-dose steroid medications and excessive alcohol intake. The most common joint affected by avascular necrosis is the hip. Avascular necrosis worsens with time, so managing it is a lifelong process.
spndnchz Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 There. Was that so hard? Resisting. Resisting.... Resis.. Not as hard as u. I can't help myself. Maybe Tiger needs a roommate.
spndnchz Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Looks like Flyers picked up Dwayne Roloson. Looking for link shrader.
shrader Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I had a feeling that would turn into a "that's what she said" type statement. Anyway, I hope the Roloson thing proves to be true because it would put an end to the damn Biron chatter.

nobody Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 TSN saying no go, yet. He'll be in net for Isles tonight. Has DiPietro shown enough that the Isle think they don't need someone signed for next season?
blugold43 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 wow, i feel bad for the guy. that sounds terrible. as someone living with permanent osteoarthritic problems stemming directly from athletics, i can tell you it sucks really bad to know the thing that makes you feel the healthiest and most alive can also leave you permanently disabled. i hope that's not what he's looking at, but it does not sound good.
