LabattBlue Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 This is a big homestand against 5 teams that are .500 or better(In the case of WAS, CHI & NJ, 10 games over .500). Lalime will probably play at least one of the games and the Sabres are coming off some mediocre hockey against two bottom feeders(despite getting 4 points). I still see the Sabres coming away with 7 points 3-1-1. What say you?
wjag Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I'll go with 8-10.. Sabres are on a roll...
wonderbread Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I think 7 as well I see them beating Montreal and New York. The rags are a one trick pony shut down Gaborik and they falter. Lindy should watch what the pens did to him last night. I can see them getting 3 points in the other 3 games. In some sort of combo. I'll be at Saturday nights game! Section 318 I hear its a decent section any one with some first hand info?
Stoner Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Good topic. The holiday homestand always scares me. A lot of distractions. And good call LB on the Sabres' subpar play in front of Miller for most of the last two games. I think Miller will continue to carry them, but that's a tough gauntlet. How 'bout 2-2-1?
ROC Sabres Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I think they can win 3 (MON, NYR, NJ). The other 2 will probably be either kill or be killed. Hopefully OV is back so Kaleta can say "HOW DO YOU DO!?!?!" in the RJ voice.
nfreeman Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 10 points, with Vanek scoring at least 10 goals. Anything less and Lindy should be fired.
darksabre Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I don't see why we can't win em all.
darksabre Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 btw, hell of a game going on right now between Columbus and Chicago on VS. And Toronto beat Montreal convincingly tonight.
Eleven Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 There will be at least one Lalime start and a collective brainfart in there, so I'm down for six.
sweeper Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I'll be at Saturday nights game! Section 318 I hear its a decent section any one with some first hand info? What row are you sitting in?
wjag Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Montreal and Sens lost last night leaving Buffalo in first place. Time to earn it by beating Montreal tonight. Boston plays Tampa tonight so a Buf Win is necessary to keep that third playoff slot..

inkman Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 No way do the Sabres beat Montreal tonight. I've never been more sure of something in my life.

darksabre Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 No way do the Sabres beat Montreal tonight. I just don't see the Sabres showing up to play.
Mbossy Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I'd have to agree. There is no way in hell we, they, he, she it beat the Habs tonight. They'll all be grabbin' sausages watching the Devils game. Now, maybe tomorrow...
LabattBlue Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 I wasn't even going to include the "0-3" choice knowing that some dickwad would pick that one. <_<
Eleven Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I wasn't even going to include the "0-3" choice knowing that some dickwad would pick that one. <_< Should have made the votes public. Name and shame.
R_Dudley Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I voted 6-7. 7 is the hope 6 would be fine given the compressed schedule, level of play and fact they will have to play lalime in there at least once.
Swedesessed Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 10 points, with Vanek scoring at least 10 goals. Anything less and Lindy should be fired.
Mbossy Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I'll go 6 or 7, but I think they're capable of more. I figure 13 points every ten games, so 1/2 of 13.

I still see the Sabres coming away with 7 points 3-1-1. What say you? Agreed. 3-1-1 would be a great homestand against this caliber of competition. Lalime is a guaranteed loss in one of those games. (preferably Washington) Washington and Chicago are tough match ups for the Sabres, particularly if Lalime mans the pipes. Montreal and the Rangers are mediocre 30 games in and Buffalo usually plays well against New Jersey at home.
mphs mike Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I voted 6-7. I see either a 2-0-3 or a 2-1-2, depending on their level of interest in playing hockey as the holidays approach.
