Don't worry about the O, Buffalo

Sure, the Sabres have scored only 11 goals in the last nine games, and the power play is 28th overall.

But if there's one thing Lindy can coach, that's goals.

Some intense video review, some refreshing line changes, some focused drills in practice... it'll be fine.

"...Jason Pominville has four points and has been a minus five over the Sabres last ten, yet has played over twenty minutes a game four times and leads all forwards in ice time, both in total and on the power play..."

That speaks volumes.

The fact that the slowest and worst skater on the team, who can't generate scoring chances on his own (unless you count slamming the puck into the opposing goalie's chest shot after shot), is getting the most ice time is just plain inexcusable. Ruff is too close to these players and he plays favorites to the detriment of the team.

This is insanity!! Teams just don't change coaches! When was the last time you EVER heard of a team changing coaches? It just doesn't happen. In Buffalo hockey, anyways. ;)

Well, yeah, we COULD change coaches. But pray tell who's out there any better than what we have?

Bingo.

A couple days before that game, one of the Mods at one of the other sabres forums created these lines as a possible move to shake the team scorers up:

Vanek - Kennedy - Grier

MacArthur - Connolly - Kaleta

Hecht - Roy - Pominville

Ellis - Gaustad - Stafford

Some of us really liked it, some thought it was crazy.

Lindy obviously thought it would be a genius move! But no, seriously, how uncanny, you know? Lindy tried something alot like this guy's idea(obviously taking into account Goose and Kaleta's absence at the time):

Vanek - Kennedy - Grier

MacArthur - Connolly - Stafford

Hecht - Roy - Pominville

Ellis - Mair - Paetsch

And these were the lines that wreaked absolute havoc on the Canes.
