notwoz Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 How about waiting until this game is over? Why, will they learn how to score on a breakaway?
SabreInFla Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 The hammer is crashing down on the nail in the coffin.
R_Dudley Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 To continue another discussion from last night, Pominville can't even hit the net from 6 inches away on a breakaway. I just don't get him... ...great...another penalty. Pominville doesn't look good tonight. 2x on PP he couldn't hold a puck in at the blueline either.
wjag Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Great PK on the 5 on 3.. That was a long one and Ottawa couldn't score.. That bodes well for Buffalo.. Alfie had four shots at the net and couldn't hit it. Another Buffalo PK coming up..
TheChimp Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 This team's "elite" players are not pleasing me one bit so far this season.
ThePebble19 Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 I don't get the officiating tonight...they miss the offsides, which leads to a BUF penalty...then, they get the Kennedy call correct, but miss the blatant elbow that came in right after the penalty call... I'll tell you what though, Lalime is playing his butt off tonight. He is still the worst puckhandling goalie in the NHL. I cringe everytime he comes out to play the puck.
notwoz Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Lalime has been quite good so far -- all things considered -- and the PK has been pretty decent too. Now about that offense. let's see what happens in the third period.
SwampD Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Why, will they learn how to score on a breakaway? Why not just turn the game off now then? Maybe the computer as well.
novascotiaguy Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 This team's "elite" players are not pleasing me one bit so far this season. Great post the only problem with this team is the top 2 lines they need to come up with big goals at big times in the game. Pommer got to put that one in on the break away.
Stoner Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Are the Sabres not even contesting these shorthanded faceoffs, or is it my imagination?
TheChimp Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Why not just turn the game off now then? Maybe the computer as well. But how would he be able to see the game and comment on it if he does that??
SDS Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 To continue another discussion from last night, Pominville can't even hit the net from 6 inches away on a breakaway. I just don't get him... ...great...another penalty. A doctor should check his Holzinger and make sure he hasn't caught the bug...
notwoz Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Why not just turn the game off now then? Maybe the computer as well. I thought the purpose of a public forum was to have a variety of viewpoints. If my comments upset you, tough beans.
SDS Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 I thought the purpose of a public forum was to have a variety of viewpoints. If my comments upset you, tough beans. Eh... You have to remember that many people don't want to read about throwing in the towel while the game is still in play. It doesn't serve any purpose and it really isn't a "viewpoint" as much as it is just an antagonistic comment.
Figster Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Lalime has been quite good so far -- all things considered -- and the PK has been pretty decent too. Now about that offense. let's see what happens in the third period. Be nice to get a win for him
SwampD Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 I thought the purpose of a public forum was to have a variety of viewpoints. If my comments upset you, tough beans. Tough beans. That's a phrase you don't hear enough of. I just don't understand putting the meaning of a game in the grand scheme of things,..WHILE IT IS STILL GOING ON. Just watch the game, have a beer (or six), and enjoy. Think about what it means tomorrow. What if we come back and score seven unanswered? Will that mean as much?... Nope.
wjag Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 New goalie... Time to win this outright.. No points for Ottawa tonight...

Think about what it means tomorrow. What if we come back and score seven unanswered? Will that mean as much?... Nope. Just that THAT seems highly unlikely, the way they played the entire second period. And the first five minutes of the game. Basically when Ottawa wasn't playing with their own heads up their rear ends. In essence, when Ottawa is on their game tonight, they look 1000000X better than we do, and therefore, a prediction like his is MUCH more likely than yours is.
wjag Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Nuts... Another point shot... Buffalo: :worthy: Ottawa: :censored: :censored: :censored:
TheChimp Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Is it safe to throw in the towel now? I mean, the team certainly has already, it's only fair.
wjag Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 4 on 2... That is the final nail... Buffalo: :worthy: Ottawa: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
ThePebble19 Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 Is it safe to throw in the towel now? I mean, the team certainly has already, it's only fair. Touche.
TheChimp Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 If I were Lalime, I'd tell the team to get on the plane without me. Poor guy. He's not as good as Miller, for sure, but he never gets the team's best effort, EVER, and that's disgusting. I feel so bad for him.
SabreInFla Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 This has all the makings of a 5 game losing streak.
R_Dudley Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Nuts... Another point shot... Yeah same thing I noticed. Thats a page Buffalo needs to put in their book almost all our point shots are these drawn out slap shots instead of wristers or quick release. Time for the rally hats ?
