Stoner Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 he had a break on goal and took a shot as well.. Ruff should really swallow his ego and play him more on the PK He got a little more PK time at the end of one of those kills in the second. I thought it was a nice bone tossed at Thomas for a somewhat emotional and energetic start to the game for him.
Stoner Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Not a shocking second period. How many times have we seen it under Ruff. The strong start at home, and the deadly second period? But, hey, this is the guy who said there's "not a chance" of playing at the very top of your game for three periods. Teams tend to reflect their coach. I hope inkman is wrong, but in little ladder steps, the Sabres have been coming back to their level the past couple of weeks.
SwampD Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I really don't think that Rob Ray likes Harry...at all.
shrader Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 When he is just doing the play by play not so bad, but I hate Brickhead worse. Agree he doesn't know much about the game. But Brickley is so much worse. Listen to Edwards' constant whining about Kaleta. That is the perfect example of his horrible announcing. He's ripping on the kid even when he's not on the ice. I hope no one points out that Lucic isn't exactly the cleanest player out there either. edit: Even worse, saying the puck is in the net when it's 2 feet in front of the goal line.
Eleven Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I really don't think that Rob Ray likes Harry...at all. I don't like him, either.

ThePebble19 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 A lot better so far this period...controlling the play...Just need to get a couple more in the net.
McJeff215 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Am I missing something or is Pommers having a season of "not quite" and "just failed to" thus far?

Especially when Chara's defensive move in front of the net is to just punch Vanek in the face.
Calvin Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Am I missing something or is Pommers having a season of "not quite" and "just failed to" thus far? just like last year.. just like last year..
Eleven Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Am I missing something or is Pommers having a season of "not quite" and "just failed to" thus far? He's like the MVP of that #%^$#!.
Calvin Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 He's like the MVP of that #%^$#!. 10-4 shots this period to the Sabres..
SabreInFla Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I haven't read the rest of the thread, has the topic of how useless Hecht is already been discussed for the evening?
Eleven Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I haven't read the rest of the thread, has the topic of how useless Hecht is already been discussed for the evening? For the evening? No. But it's been covered enough for the whole season.
R_Dudley Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I can't get over how we look like the team that played last night not Boston. How can we not at home find that extra gear to just drive the net and get it done. This is the time we should look like the fresher team.
SabreInFla Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 For the evening? No. But it's been covered enough for the whole season. I don't know, it's seems to be reaching new levels.
Eleven Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 A shootout is the Sabs' best bet right now.
R_Dudley Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 We are the team of one pass too many. Just amazing after all these years of hockey they don't know a good hard shot on net produces rebounds that players skating to the net can pounce on.
SwampD Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I don't know, it's seems to be reaching new levels. He's more useful than Connolly. At least he plays D.
Eleven Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 He's more useful than Connolly. At least he plays D. Captain Tuttle was a great defenseman.
Calvin Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 F*ck again. f*ckin ridiculous.. the frustration this team is causing is getting really high
Eleven Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 f*ckin ridiculous.. the frustration this team is causing is getting really high It's the "sleepy second" that's getting me pissy. (Maybe the players' moms need to bring orange wedges or juice boxes or something.) Otherwise, I like the way the season has gone and is going.
R_Dudley Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Another less than enthusiastic effort by the home team. They definitely didn't outwork the Bruins so no excuse about being tired for tomorrows game...
