katia11 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Hi! I actually used to be a member, didn't have a ton of posts, but I did lurk alot. My account got deleted. Also, I'm just asking about going to the game, not the team. Hopefully this is the right forum? I'm looking to buy tickets to the Sabres-Blackhawks game December 11th, since it's my boyfriend's birthday! I have been entertaining the thought of splurging on good seats with Harbor Club 100 passes. I don't want to sound silly, but once inside the Harbor Club, is it complimentary? If not, how much is it for dinner usually? I'm having a hard time finding pricing information, and I'm not quite at the point where price is no object. I have a friend with 300 level season tix to fall back on, but I thought I'd see just in case, as it is a special occasion. So any info would be helpful for making these important birthday decisions! Thank you!

Thank you! I am pretty sure the pass only gets you into the Harbor Club and they serve a pre-game buffet which is extra(along with beverages). I don't know for sure, but I would guess it is in the range of $20-30 per person. I am pretty sure someone I work with went last year and said the food was pretty average. If you call the arena, they can give you any information you want.

tom webster Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 looks like it's members only - linky I am a member and can get you up to 4 passes for free. You can then buy any tickets you want. The buffet is a little pricey for the quality of the food( last time I had it I think it was $30 adults, $15 children) The snack menu and the beverage menu is in line with the rest of the arena though the selection is better. The restrooms are usually less crowded and easier to access.
katia11 Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 Hmmm. I can definitely see the perks there. I actually went there when I was younger with my mom, but I didn't know if she had to pay extra or not. I thought it was really cool that you could order dessert to be ready for one of the between period breaks :) However, at $30 a person, we might be better up hitting up one of Buffalo's many delicious restaurants. Thanks for the replies, guys! I really appreciate it. We both LOVE hockey (although I guess that isn't that special being from Buffalo and all) and luck would have it there is a home game that night.
weehawk Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Wow. Too bad it's members only. Here in Raleigh, the Arena Club is open to anyone as long as season ticket holders dont fill the place (they rarely do). We went the other day for a pizza and pasta buffet for $12 each. That incl non-alc drinks and dessert. Of course the 'Canes suck this year and they are doing what they can to fill the place. I thought it was quite a deal compared to an $8 BBQ sandwich and a $4 soft drink. Oh, and the beer was cheaper too. A 24 oz Labatt for $8!!

They get a whole case for 15 bucks.
Eleven Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 The Harbour Club 100 has some of the worst food in Buffalo, at any price, IMO. I've been there for business lunches, banquets, and pre-game dinners, and it is uniformly horrible.

That Aud Smell Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 I actually went there when I was younger with my mom, but I didn't know if she had to pay extra or not. I thought it was really cool that you could order dessert to be ready for one of the between period breaks :) but if you still wanted to get some harbor club flavor, you should be able to spring for club seats (200's - i'm fairly sure you can purchase those for single games), then get to the arena early so that you can stake out a spot at the harbour club 200 that will allow you to watch the game while you hang out with some food and drink. http://www.hsbcarena.com/200harbourclub.cfm
