NowDoYouBelieve Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Miller??? In the upper echelon of goalies (according to the pre-game with NJ feed)??? Is he getting ready to go super saiyan??? (if you don't get it, I'm sorry, if you do, then..., yea, I'm even more sorry) Depends on how you define upper echelon. I think he's no worse than top 10, and maybe top 5 if he doesn't go through any prolonged funks this season.
OCinBuffalo Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Now if we can just get them to play the 1st period like this when Lalime is in...Miller looks good...but honestly, he has seen every shot and most of them have been from 20-30 feet out. I have to think Lalime would be able to handle this...but I don't know hockey as well as you guys do.
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 That was not a hook. Smart play by Oh!do-ya, though, to raise his stick like that to make it look like it.
wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 NJ PP .. Goose hooked Game on.. Green gets a dot shot Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: Jersey: :censored:
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I'm not complaining. I'm just confused,.. they just don't call penalties on the Devils. They just don't.
ROC Sabres Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 And apparently Parise has his two front teeth with gold "bling" on them. Didn't know the NHL was going MTV raps.
wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 That was a helluva save by Miller on Ralston. Ice is tipped tonight.. Devils much better this period..
Calvin Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 That was a helluva save by Miller on Ralston. Ice is tipped tonight.. Devils much better this period.. o this dysfunctional PP :-|
wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Well this has settled into that NJ style of play we have grown to hate.
Calvin Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Well this has settled into that NJ style of play we have grown to hate. .. and of course, no one plays it better than them. very frustrating.
McJeff215 Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 This is muck more interesting than most BUF/NJD games.
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 This is muck more interesting than most BUF/NJD games. Absolutely. Our PP really needs some...something.
ROC Sabres Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Absolutely. Our PP really needs some...something. I think the word you're looking for is offense. Or at least the appearance of offense.
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I think the word you're looking for is offense. Or at least the appearance of offense. I will just never understand why Pominville is at the point (or even on the ice).
wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Absolutely. Our PP really needs some...something. It needs a new plan.. It needs creativity. How about Vanek at the point and Gaustad in the face of the goalie.. Something different..
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 It needs a new plan.. It needs creativity. How about Vanek at the point and Gaustad in the face of the goalie.. Something different.. Not to belabor my point, but for as much as Pominville has been on the ice for the PP, I can only remember him scoring once. And it was on a 5 on 3.
ROC Sabres Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I will just never understand why Pominville is at the point (or even on the ice). Cuz he can take really nice shots from the top of the circle on the right side.... that's all. I agree, put in some rookie and let them learn how to shoot from the point and how to make plays.
LabattBlue Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 It needs a new plan.. It needs creativity. How about Vanek at the point and Gaustad in the face of the goalie.. Something different.. PP Unit # 1 Vanek and Connolly on the wings, Gaustad in front of the net and Rivet & Myers on the point. PP Unit # 2 Roy and Pominville on the wings, Stafford in front of the net and Butler & Paetsch on the point.
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 PP Unit # 1 Vanek and Connolly on the wings, Gaustad in front of the net and Rivet & Myers on the point. PP Unit # 2 Roy and Pominville on the wings, Stafford in front of the net and Butler & Paetsch on the point.
wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Not to belabor my point, but for as much as Pominville has been on the ice for the PP, I can only remember him scoring once. And it was on a 5 on 3. I've been railing about Pominville on the point for a long time... I don't get it. Who'd have thought that Myers and Kennedy would have more goals than Roy?
ROC Sabres Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 PP Unit # 1 Vanek and Connolly on the wings, Gaustad in front of the net and Rivet & Myers on the point. wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 There has been several good back checks by the Sabres in this game...
wjag Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Who are these guys? Hecht flattens Niedemeyer in the crease..
SwampD Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Too much slapping at the puck and not enough passing.
