tulax Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 http://www.sabrespace.com/buffalo-sabres/article/ruff-plans-surprise-outing-during-road-trip/ Does anyone know if any other teams in the league go on "team outings" like the Sabres?
darksabre Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Does anyone know if any other teams in the league go on "team outings" like the Sabres? I'm pretty sure it's fairly common actually.
mphs mike Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Does anyone know if any other teams in the league go on "team outings" like the Sabres? It sounded a little ridiculous to me because I'd think teammates did things together on the road routinely, but I heard Marleau interviewd the other day and he was talking about the Sharks afternoon at the Smithsonian whil;e in DC recently.

Slow news day for the Sabres, what else to write between long stretches without games. The beginning of this season is annoying.
LabattBlue Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Deep sea fishing charter? Golf outing? Go-Karts after a few beers? A game of chicken in the everglades on swamp boats? Judging a wet tshirt contest? A pub crawl through the Keys? Take a ride to the "U" and see what the boys have in store for the evening? Get OSP to bankroll an evening at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino?

I agree. Clarke was sick, or else a MacArthur story would be up. A lot of other teams have bonding activities. I think the Flyers recently raced sailboats and fished.

shrader Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 How soon we forget! I'm not convinced those guys are alive anymore.

Get OSP to bankroll an evening at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino? I vote for the pub crawl through the Keys...last one at the Green Parrot buys. Oh, ahem...not like I've ever done a pub crawl in Key West. Never heard of Irish Kevin's or Captain Tony's. What? This isn't a poll? Sorry - another senior moment.

I hear the Flyers bond after big wins in other ways as well: http://www.collegeotr.com/temple_university/philadelphia_flyers_take_over_frat_party_16891
