ThePebble19 Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 Well, the last 10 were better than the first 10, but they have to start getting some shots on Hedberg....
JujuFish Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 Spoken like someone who thinks letting a 5-0 breakaway score is the goalie's fault. How does my complaining about the team equate to the score being the goalie's fault? That's as opposite as you could possibly get.
Stoner Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 I know why the first period felt so weird. The Sabres, before Kovalchuk's first goal, had trailed for only 1:37 all season. 55 SOG against last four periods. Ouch. This just in. Traffic is abnormally heavy headed for Niagara Falls.

wjag Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Okay.. Now that they've given them a lead, let's take it back... Outshot 11-2 at one point, they nearly evened it up in SOGs.. Get one and its a new game.
FogBat Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I must be a real sucker. My wife convinced me to keep NHL Center Ice so she can watch the games while I'm gone. Da*n it, Montador!
wjag Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Back in it Clark with a beauty Hedberg has been cracked.. Buffalo: :worthy: Trashers: :censored: :censored:
North Buffalo Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Mac is on fire! Looked like a Pommer shot.
North Buffalo Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 That was Lalime's fault, he was out of position.
wjag Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Trashers PP Roy in the box White gets a tap in That one goal lead was short lived.. Buffalo: :worthy: Trashers: :censored: :censored: :censored:
SabreInFla Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Not saying it's all his fault, but what is our record with Lalime in net since he became a Sabre?
tulax Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Not saying it's all his fault, but what is our record with Lalime in net since he became a Sabre? He was 5-13-3 last year.
North Buffalo Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 5-3 and they can't get an open net shot??? Puleeese
SabreInFla Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 He was 5-13-3 last year. Thanks. That speaks volumes doesn't it?
FogBat Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Ladies and gentlemen, I do believe that we are heading for our first regulation loss of the season. We have not been able to score on a 5 on 3. That's pathetic.
wjag Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 no joy on a full 2 minute 5 on 3... not our night... the powerplay on that series could not have looked more inept.
Stoner Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Letting down after scoring, two games in a row now. That's a carryover from last season we didn't want. Roy's game has been deplorable. What the hell is he whining about after the hooking call? There's one guy, IMHO, who would be addition by subtraction. And early on, the drama queen move of going to the bench after missing a good chance, slamming the door and putting his head down. Wonder what the Sabres' post-lockout record is with the backup in goal?

Wonder what the Sabres' post-lockout record is with the backup in goal? This is a rough calculation: 42-31-9. That is with the combined records of Biron, Conklin, Thibault, and Lalime. I couldn't think of any others. Just a note, the year after the lockout (05-06 season), Biron has a sensational 21-8-3 record when Miller went down in the middle of the season.

Yeah, but it's different if a goalie is playing once every few weeks vs. knowing he'll play each and every night. Also, the team Biron had infront of him that year is light years ahead of what we've had with Thibault and Lalime.
North Buffalo Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 What is Connolly just scared to go to the net?
