R_Dudley Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 If "duds" line are correct, then it looks that way. Lindy doesn't like to give his lines designations, so I'm sure it won't be looked at that way. Just to be clear I got that lineup from sabres.com reports story not of my own making... However as you all know Lindy will do what Lindy will do and likes to play this guessing game with other teams right up to NHL says you have to submit your lineup... Let's get r started...
carpandean Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 Pretty sure that Kennedy centered Hecht and Grier last game; if not, then at least for a good part of it. Stafford was "promoted" in the third period of last game and Kennedy was moved back between Grier and Hecht for at least a portion of that period. At the end, though, I believe that Goose was up between them.
sactobillsfan Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 Is this game on Center Ice? Its shown as upcoming on 785 but the channel says PPV which I'm assuming is pay per view. Help!
G-Daddy Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Is this game on Center Ice? Its shown as upcoming on 785 but the channel says PPV which I'm assuming is pay per view. Help! I'm watching the game on DTV #785....no problem.
bleedblueandgold Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 found it on justin.tv Anyone have a link for tonight's game online?!??! PLEASE?!?!
inkman Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Line of the young season! I'm preferecial to your "it's like the refs went rogue a long time age" but you can't really self promote. Funny coming from the dickwad who starts threads about his cars and inserts body part pics in every thread he can.
wjag Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Roy and Macarthur had golden opportunities.. Good early Buffalo pressure..
SarasotaSabre Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 I'm watching the game on DTV #785....no problem. has anyone found an HD broadcast of this game one DTV? I have it on standard (crap) def on chs. 638 & 785.....
wjag Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Pretty entertaining period... at least three 3 quality buffalo chances..
Figster Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Anyone have a link for tonight's game online?!??! PLEASE?!?! http://www.justin.tv/buffalo_sabres_now
HurlyBurly51 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 has anyone found an HD broadcast of this game one DTV? I have it on standard (crap) def on chs. 638 & 785..... Particularly poor picture quality tonight....
Stoner Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 I convulsed about four times thinking the Sabres had scored. Who had the early "Ovechkin" chance? Anyone else thinking Harry Neale actually sounds coherent tonight? Good period for the Sabres, minus about the last 50 seconds.
ThePebble19 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 For everything else that he does really well, Tim Kennedy could probably challenge Pominville for the "most shots wide of the net from less than 10 ft away." Really, really like how he plays defensively though. TK brings an element of play we haven't seen much of the last couple of seasons...backchecking.
matter2003 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Are the Sabres becoming the Bruins of 2 or 3 years ago? This team just cannot freaking score...are we gonna watch 2-1 or 1-0 games all season long?? Ugghh...someone score already...
Corp000085 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Particularly poor picture quality tonight.... Maybe this is for the complaint thursday thread, but seriously, its 2009. Start broadcasting ALL the games in hd and offer the hd feed to center ice! Seriously. 2009 folks, not 2003.

matter2003 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Sabres turning into a less skilled version of Detroit? Outshoot the other team by a ton, but never score?
... Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Ugh, neither team deserves to win this game.
R_Dudley Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Okay a solid first period and a weak second. They've needed Miller to bale 'em out several times this period. For the first game I'm actually getting to see I've got to say I'm a bit disappointed with this so called grit we are supposed to have this year.( I know shouldn't expect a leopard to change it's spots with no real major player changes) One issue with the 2nd period I've got is all these lazy stick checks and failure to play the body and finish the checks that are there for taking. Second is one cross ice or back pass too many with a trapping team that type of play never works against. IMO looks a bit like last year, failure to captilize on chances, not playing physical and getting a little too cute fancy when the smart play is get it deep or on net and then crash the net. Although I will also admit the biggest difference Ive seen from last year is not as many breakdowns leaving Miller to fend to himself and more backchecking and sticks/body's in the lanes. I just wish they were throwing them around a little more. Last the Kennedy,Grier Hecht line had some of the best chances that period.... All right Sabs make my night and first game I'm seeing this year worthwhile, step it up for 3rd and get r' done...Go Bflo
K-9 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Sekera hurt. Not returning. Upper body injury. Could make the Myers decision moot. GO SABRES!!!

SwampD Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Butler hasn't looked good tonight. I've heard lots of his praise the first two games as well, but I just don't see it.
