repster Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Nice victory. Takes away the disappointment of the Bills game a little. I think it's safe to say that Weber will be sent to the minors. I know Paul Hamilton was not impressed by him at all and it was not a good play by him on the Leafs 6th goal. Myers, wow it would be tough to send him down. How do you not play Montador when he was your GM's big acquisition on D in the offseason? Lalime doesn't look like he can stop a beachball sometimes. This was a wide open type game, but...It was great to see all that offense. Before this game, it was a pretty low scoring preseason for the forwards, but the D didn't give up too much either. Looking forward to next Saturday!
... Posted September 28, 2009 Author Report Posted September 28, 2009 I hope Pommers keeps up his play from the preseason - perhaps then I can finally drop the "JJ".
darksabre Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 I hope Pommers keeps up his play from the preseason - perhaps then I can finally drop the "JJ". he better, I took a chance on him for one of my fantasy teams.
rbochan Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 LaLime let in 6 goals on 27 shots? Miller better be ready to play 75+ games...
SwampD Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 I want to see Kennedy on this roster. Gerbe plays a nice game behind the net. Myers can really skate for a big guy --- it's almost freakish. I looked away there for a bit, but it looked like he took a shift at wing. I'm not really sure what should happen to Paille - MacArthur's game through the preseason has looked much more composed than years past. Weber hasn't distinguished himself. Lalime's going down pretty early...hope it isn't a habit. Isn't that the book on him? I remember an Atl. game last year where every goal was scored up top, including two shootout goals.
wjag Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 The more I see of Kennedy, the more I like.
rbochan Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 The more I see of LaLime and Tallinder, the less I like.
Chief Enabler Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 he better, I took a chance on him for one of my fantasy teams. i confirm he lasted until 110 overall in an 8 man league. I took him; where i took vanek & roy beforehand!

RightWinger Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Weber was horrible, ditto for LaLime. Lalime is going to be a problem.
inkman Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Weber was horrible, ditto for LaLime. Lalime is going to be a problem. From everyones perspective, it seems like Weber has played his way right to Portland. As far as Lalime goes, maybe we should hope for a slight injury so we can get a look at Enroth?

As far as Lalime goes, maybe we should hope for a slight injury so we can get a look at Enroth? Pardon me for being out of the loop, but have we not seen Enroth take to the ice at all this preseason? On top of that, why do we have Lalime for a second season? I thought he only had a one-year deal last year.

Lalime got a two-year deal last year, not one.
FogBat Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Enroth did play part of at least one preseason game. Lalime got a two-year deal last year, not one. Is it me, or is the second-half of that deal going to make for a painfully long season for Blue and Gold fans?
shrader Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Is it me, or is the second-half of that deal going to make for a painfully long season for Blue and Gold fans? As opposed to the first half of the deal?
end the curse Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 If Lalime stinks up the joint a few games in a row, the Enroth call-up is not going to take very long. Lalime is on a short leash.
korab rules Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 If Lalime stinks up the joint a few games in a row, the Enroth call-up is not going to take very long. Lalime is on a short leash. Let's hope so - Lalime looked horrible. I certainly hope Enroth will be called up in the event Miller is out for anything other than a scheduled day off.
millbank Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 not to argue, but think it best for Sabre's if Lalime plays competently, when the inevitable injuries happen to other teams, he is used to get a pick of player. Think it best a Enroth play regular and develop, in time the decision is going to be Enroth or Miller, but not just yet. imo  Let's hope so - Lalime looked horrible. I certainly hope Enroth will be called up in the event Miller is out for anything other than a scheduled day off.
