end the curse Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 I know he's holding out and we have his rights, so any word on a trade opportunity?? I would think with his AHL numbers, hard shot, and size some team would be interested in taking a chance on his potential, and it would be nice to get something in return.
inkman Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Linky Mark Mancari remains the lone unsigned player. He has told Regier he is seeking other options. Whatever that means...

Whatever that means... Unless he plans on going to the KHL, or some semi-pro team, his NHL ass belongs to Darcy, so WTF options is he seeking?
shrader Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Unless he plans on going to the KHL, or some semi-pro team, his NHL ass belongs to Darcy, so WTF options is he seeking? He's screwing himself over. He has zero leverage and is playing his way right out of North America with this move. But then again, if some other team actually wanted him, they'd just make him an offer. Any deal he would get wouldn't call for compensation if the Sabres didn't bother matching it.

He's cutting off his nose to spite his face. He doesn't want a two-way contract, but what team would trade for him AND give him a one-way deal before he's proven himself as an NHL full-time regular? Honestly, he must be taking career advice from Michael Crabtree.
