The 19 players selected by the business side are known as Team Fleming, which honors the late Reggie Fleming, who played on the original Sabres of 1970-71. The scouting department stayed in house with Team Khmylev, an 18-man squad named for amateur scout Iouri Khmylev, who spent four seasons with the Sabres in the 1990s. The 17 players picked by the coaches go by Team Playfair in honor of longtime defenseman and alumni chief Larry Playfair.

Team Fleming, named for original Sabre Reg Fleming, won the round robin with 4.5 points. Its roster: forwards Thomas Vanek, Tim Connolly, Patrick Kaleta, Nathan Gerbe (who leads the tournament with three goals), Tim Kennedy, Maxime Legault, Daniel Paille, Paul Gaustad, Jacob Lagace, Derek Whitmore and Mark McCutcheon; defensemen Mike Weber, Craig Rivet, T.J. Brennan, Steve Montador, Brayden McNabb and Nathan Paetsch; and goaltender J.P. Lamoureaux.

Team Khmylev, named for amateur scout and former Sabres forward Iouri Khmylev, finished with 2.5 points. Its roster: forwards Matt Ellis, Tyler Ennis, Jason Pominville, Philip Gogulla. Felix Schutz, Mike Grier, Luke Adam, Travis Turnbull, Zack Kassian and Brade Larsen; defensemen Henrik Tallinder, Toni Lydman, Dennis Persson, Tyler Myers, Nick Crawford, Joe DiPenta and Ryan Stokes; and goaltenders Ryan Miller and Glenn Fisher.

Team Playfair, named for alumni chief Larry Playfair, was eliminated today after finishing with two points. Looks like the business group got the first pick in each round of the "draft". Lineup looks a little stacked compared to the others,
