shrader Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Hell no. Without that T.O. touchdown the Bills lose. Difference maker. I guess I should have put the winking face in that post. That was a lot more fun than the Jauron approach of running up the middle 3 times, then punting.

That was a lot more fun than the Jauron approach of running up the middle 3 times, then punting. I knew you were being a little sarcastic but I wasn't sure how much. And yes, way better than anything Jauron would have done. Imagine how much better this team could be if they had fired him 5 games ago?
Stoner Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Fewell said in his presser that after Fitzpatrick's touchdown throw to TO, he told the QB he "has big gonads." YESSSSS! Life on the Buffalo Bills sideline for the first time since Marv!!!!!!

Stoner Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009  I should clarify. He told the QB that Fitzpatrick has big gonads. Meanwhile, two glimpses of Edwards showed him warming his hands. It was 50 some degrees!
JujuFish Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Fewell said in his presser that after Fitzpatrick's touchdown throw to TO, he told the QB he "has big gonads." Which became edited to "big (guts)" in the AP article, heh.
Buffalo Wings Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 I've had it on the whole time. It was nice to see that 4th quarter. But I'm just not that enthusiastic about it, for some reason. I understand your lack of enthusiasm...I had completely lost it (for about the first time ever) sometime in mid-October. I had the feeling that it would be nice if the Bills would win a game, but wasn't expecting it at all. I honestly wanted Jauron gone as soon as possible to breathe some life into this franchise. Now that Fewell is in charge, there seems to be some of that. I still don't expect a miracle turnaround, but I liked what I saw today. Not necessarily in the first half, but the second half should start this group in the right direction.
shrader Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 It's amazing how a couple long passes change the way I look at these games. Hell, I don't care whether they win or lose at this point, but thank god they're throwing to the receivers again.

The Bills are here in Atlanta on the 27th of December and I was going to pass it up, but I might actually get a good game. If I'm lucky, a playoff spoiler for the Falcons.
LabattBlue Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 When is the NFL going to make it an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty whenever a WR gets up after not making a catch and immediately starts making a gesture of a referee throwing a flag. Shouldn't that be considered showing up the referees? Get up, get back to the huddle and STFU.

That and the "I just made a tackle so I have to run 15 yards up field and dance" stupidity of many defensive players. What a joke.

Bmwolf21 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Blame Bruce for that crap. He made it chic.. Bruce danced for sacking his way into the record books. A lot of these idiots do nothing and dance like they just won a Super Bowl. Nothing like watching a fourth-string corner celebrate like he shutdown Jerry Rice in his prime - when the receiver he was covering just dropped the ball.
Eleven Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Blame Bruce for that crap. He made it chic.. My favorite Bill of all time, but of course, you're correct here.
Eleven Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 This game is so completely unentertaining.
wjag Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 This game is so completely unentertaining. For the first year I can ever remember, I've stopped watching them. I watch real football..

Eric in Akron Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 For the first year I can ever remember, I've stopped watching them. I watch real football.. I stopped watching NFL games for about 10 years now. Over commercialized and over hyped. It's all about me and my ego attitudes that are catching up to the crap called the NBA. I just won't support the tainting of a professional sport.
LabattBlue Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 I continue to be pissed off that guys like Clay Matthews, Brian Cushing and Brian Orapko (among others) are having GREAT rookie seasons, while Maybin continues to be a non factor unless you consider going offsides on a recovered onside kick a positive.

At least half of the non-factor part falls to the coaches.
LabattBlue Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 At least half of the non-factor part falls to the coaches. I wouldn't go that far. If he was showing anything in practice, I am sure he would be seeing more game action.
deluca67 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 I wouldn't go that far. If he was showing anything in practice, I am sure he would be seeing more game action. It shouldn't matter what he does in practice. Put him on the field and see if he can play football. The Bills should have emptied the benches weeks ago. They have wasted weeks of possible game film that hopefully a new GM and coach will use in turning this team around.
wjag Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 I never thought I would live through another 0-20 against one team. 16 straight and counting... I really am growing an intense dislike of the Patriots.. I was rooting for the Dolphins today just to keep the Patriots in check. I feel dirty..

I would have been fine with Maybin as a third-round pick. While I am hopeful that he has some upside and will develop, he should not have been taken by Buffalo in the first round. This team had far, far too many pressing needs to take a long-term project at #11. It shouldn't matter what he does in practice. Put him on the field and see if he can play football. The Bills should have emptied the benches weeks ago. They have wasted weeks of possible game film that hopefully a new GM and coach will use in turning this team around. Bingo. Season's over, and has been over for a while. I can understand why Fewell wants to use the guys most likely to win and keep him in a HC slot, but IMO head coach is the least pressing need. A strong FO, a couple good OT's and a QB are much higher priority. We also need to see what, if anything, Stevie Johnson and Hardy can contribute next year when TO is a memory.

At this juncture, Fred Jackson, Byrd and maybe Lee Evans are the ONLY Bills that should be retained... The rest could and should go... This team needs to be completely remade. The Bills had no answer to NE standing their Dmen up at the line of scrimmage. Captain Checkdown comes in and throws a 3yd gain... I was such a big Edwards fan. But he hasn't been the same since he was hurt in Arizona. The O line struggled at the beginning of the season and the injuries just made the season and the QB position into a joke.
