darksabre Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 What's with all these 4p starts this year? Sabres won last night. That doesn't bode well for the Bills... Do the Bills manage to outscore the Sabres today by potting more than a field goal?
Bmwolf21 Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 What's with all these 4p starts this year? Sabres won last night. That doesn't bode well for the Bills... I'm getting spoiled by these 4 pm starts. I used to hate them, but now I'm a fan. I can get stuff done all day long without the game cutting through the heart of the afternoon, settle in to watch the game at 4, eat dinner at halftime, and shut the game off due to frustration in time to catch up on the week's worth of DVR'ed shows. Works out nicely.
wjag Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 This may be one of the worst Bills teams of all time.. They are just brutal to watch.
carpandean Posted October 25, 2009 Author Report Posted October 25, 2009 Wow, the Bills actually found two teams (QBs) playing worse than they are (theirs is.) If it weren't for interceptions, they would have lost both.
shrader Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 3rd place, ruining their draft status again.
Bmwolf21 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 3rd place, ruining their draft status again. Nah, this is perfect for Ralphie. Don't have to worry about paying a top-5 pick obscene money. He can get away with paying a 10-15 pick.

Stoner Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Yep. Staying on the perpetual treadmill to mediocrity and 7-9 seasons. Looking at the schedule, the Bills could easily surpass seven wins.
deluca67 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 ...and somehow find a way to justify keeping Jauron for yet another season. Jauron is going nowhere no matter what the Bills record is. All that matters is the amount left on the contract. This team could go 3-13 this year and 0-16 next and Jauron will still be here for that final year.
FogBat Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Two back to back wins. I'm not going to get used to it. No need to get my hopes up with this group only to watch them get dashed. BTW, is it me, or are most of the original AFL teams really at the abyss this season?
Bmwolf21 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Looking at the schedule, the Bills could easily surpass seven wins. Easily? How do you figure? Remaining games: Houston (4-3) at Tenn (0-6) at JAX (3-3) Miami (2-4) NY Jets (4-3) at KC (1-6) NE P*ts (5-2) at Atlanta (4-2) Indy (6-0) While I have some confidence that the Bills limited talent can overcome some of the coaching inadequacies against inferior opponents (Browns excluded) no matter how poorly another team is playing, I would never say the Bills could or should win a a game. That being said, my guess is they beat Tennessee and KC; lose to The Pats, Falcons, Colts and Miami; with "iffy" games against Houston, Jacksonville, and the Jets. My guess is they win one or two of those three and finish somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8.

I'd just like to add that it's looking very likely that the Colts could have everything locked up for that final week and play their second and third stringers. Of course, knowing the Bills, it could mean 2004 all over again.

I'm saying they're on a bit of a roll now and easily beat Houston this week, then knock off Tennessee to go 5-4. After a loss at Jax, they come home and beat the Dolphins and Jets. 7-5. Win at KC 8-5. Yeah, then it all comes falling down. 8-8. Easy.
inkman Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 OK, I retract the word "easily." I'm saying they're on a bit of a roll now and easily beat Houston this week. Have you watched the Texans this year? This isn't your grandaddy's Texans. They can ball. Schaub, Slaton and Johnson are players and tons of young studs on D.
shrader Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 ...and somehow find a way to justify keeping Jauron for yet another season. These last two games are the ones that really confuse me. Everyone always turns to either the coaching or lack of talent as the reason why this team sucks. I don't see how a team with both of those problems wins these two games, even if the opponents sucked too. So which is it? Personally, I have no clue.

New England, Indianapolis and Atlanta not so easy. But with the shambles that represents their O-Line.. games like the last 3 are more probable..

Going one step further - what has changed in the last month that makes anyone feel confident that the Bills are going to come home and beat the team that whipped them by 28 three weeks ago? And can we rely on Sanchez and the Jests tossing another 6 INTs necessary to win that game? Let's say you are right, though, and they do pull off 8-8. Does it matter? Does that feel any different than three years of 7-9? It's not nearly enough to get into the playoffs. Have you watched the Texans this year? This isn't your grandaddy's Texans. They can ball. Schaub, Slaton and Johnson are players and tons of young studs on D. Bingo.
LabattBlue Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Jairus Byrd...are you kidding me?
wjag Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Jairus Byrd...are you kidding me? Boomer " No offense by the Buffalo Bills but a heckuva lot of defense". Byrd is a ball hawk.. He's got Ed Reed hands and instincts..
LabattBlue Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Does Bobby April stay up all night thinking of these trick plays? Next time how aobut a triple reverse with a pass to the punter?
Stoner Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Does Bobby April stay up all night thinking of these trick plays? Next time how aobut a triple reverse with a pass to the punter? I have a hard time reconciling a team that runs three straight times then trying a trick play, fake punt. The concept of risk vs. reward seems to elude a lot of coaches. Getting a first down in your own territory vs. handing the game away.
