cdexchange Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Forgive my ignorance, but are all of these open to the public?
nobody Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 How many people usually show up for the weekends?
LabattBlue Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I'm surprised at the number of scrimmages. Last year it was nothing but practices. Maybe Lindy decided that doing some stupid 3 on 2 drills over and over again wasn't enough to figure out who could cut it.
frisky Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I think it might be because there's a number of spots open and he wants to see who is going to compete the hardest for those spots. Wondering if there's going to be any fights. Should be interesting.
tom webster Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 For those who haven't seen it, here is the roster. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/791012.html
frisky Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 According to the Sabres website the practices are free and open to the public with some concession stands open.
LabattBlue Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Just a word of warning...Don't go to the practices in tshirt and shorts. It is freezing in there and feels even colder if you come into the building from a nice warm day. Take a sweatshirt or jacket or you will be freezing before you ever get comfortable in your seat.
Mbossy Posted September 10, 2009 Author Report Posted September 10, 2009 How many people usually show up for the weekends? Puckdrop '09 is going Saturday, about 56 teams playing street hockey around the arena. Aud limestone bricks with a medallion on them are for sale, Gare and I think Playfair will sign them if you want. I'd expect it to be pretty packed Saturday (although it's supposed to rain, outside that is). Monday morning should be lighter.
shrader Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 For those who haven't seen it, here is the roster. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/791012.html They still have no clue how to spell Lamoureux! :wallbash:
tom webster Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 They still have no clue how to spell Lamoureux! :wallbash: They couldn't even get Kaleta right, how are they going to get Lamoureux right.
cdexchange Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 According to the Sabres website the practices are free and open to the public with some concession stands open. Thank you. Haha, thanks for the clarification :)
SwampD Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 They couldn't even get Kaleta right, how are they going to get Lamoureux right. I don't know why but this really made me laugh.
darksabre Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Jeff Cowan, the next coming of Chris Drury. and why does no one ever wear 13? also, props to spndnchz for giving the Buffalo Snooze a piece of her mind. I see you there in the comments section.
shrader Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 also, props to spndnchz for giving the Buffalo Snooze a piece of her mind. I see you there in the comments section. Yeah, and stealing my and TW's observation and passing it off as her own. :D
nobody Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Yeah, and stealing my and TW's observation and passing it off as her own. :D You better click on that report abuse button.
Two or less Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Jeff Cowan, the next coming of Chris Drury. and why does no one ever wear 13? also, props to spndnchz for giving the Buffalo Snooze a piece of her mind. I see you there in the comments section. #13 is taken by Tim Kennedy. Once he makes it full time and not just a fill in, he'll wear it. Besides Cowen being #23, other player i am suprised at is #3 DiPenta. I thought Myers had #3 secured? Actually, also shocked that Weber switched. He was #34, then switched to #4 and now to #6.
spndnchz Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Yeah, and stealing my and TW's observation and passing it off as her own. :D I put in sabrespace.com but they took it off. And they fixed the names. I CONTROL THE WORLD!!!!!!!
SwampD Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I put in sabrespace.com but they took it off. And they fixed the names. I CONTROL THE WORLD!!!!!!! Now what you need to do is take a name that is spelled correctly and tell them they've got it wrong. See if they use your incorrect spelling or actually check for themselves.
shrader Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I put in sabrespace.com but they took it off. And they fixed the names. I CONTROL THE WORLD!!!!!!! Hey, if you do in fact control the world and continue to run with my suggestions, I'm sure I can come up with some good stuff.

You're not kidding...a sweatshirt is a MUST! I remember that from some practices last year!
