SDS Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 So, big deal. I start every game 0-4. I'll just win the other 7 categories. ;) Go OV!
darksabre Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 My draft in this league went waaaayyy better than my draft for the LGS forum league. You guys all draft differently than other leagues I've been in which has me really looking forward to this league.
nobody Posted September 27, 2009 Author Report Posted September 27, 2009 So, big deal. I start every game 0-4. I'll just win the other 7 categories. ;) Go OV! There's always some goalie out there who sneaks up out of nowhere to pick up. But like you said - this is a scoring league.

darksabre Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 So you're saying we all have no clue what we're doing? ;) hahaha something like that. also, fixed that for you. wouldn't want the spellin' nazis coming after you. :P

Varlamov could be a steal for you. I was going to pick him up but you got him just before. Didn't get the email I sent?
deluca67 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 I do have the best goal-tending and defense drafted.

Sounds like something you can add to the bar - free internet connection. Throw a couple computers in (covered and locked so no one can spill on or take them) with waterproof keyboards.
ThePebble19 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 I don't even know how to feel about my team...Happy with goalies, ok on the rest, I guess...Since I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, I guess all I can do is hope for the best! I've got a weird feeling about my last pick, Claude Giroux...

wjag Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 I was all set to pick when my buddy called with a ticket to the Maryland-Rutgers football game. Couldn't resist a chance to sit in a downpour for three hours. So I hastily did some resorting on player priority and left it up to the computer. The computer drafted for me Chris Mason and Jon Quick. A quick scan this morning of remaining goalies leaves little hope to improve. So I guess I'm going to be concentrating on scoring. To all you newbies out there, don't despair and pay attention. There are always players who emerge (in every category) as the season goes on. If your roster is the same at the end of the season compared to your draft, then you phoned in your effort.
SDS Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 can someone explain the scoring for me? I have no idea where these numbers are coming from.

If your roster is the same at the end of the season compared to your draft, then you phoned in your effort. The toughest part for me so far is that I forget to check and update my roster first thing in the AM. It was especially important on the weekend, with mid-day games both Friday and Saturday this week. I noticed that, in our game, that your goalies were a little rough. It's like you said though, all it takes is a couple of injuries, or an AHL callup that makes an impact, and you can change a down situation in a hurry.
LabattBlue Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 can someone explain the scoring for me? I have no idea where these numbers are coming from. You can set a different lineup for each day of the week and then you get credit for whatever those players do that night. It then counts towards your total for the week.
SDS Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 You can set a different lineup for each day of the week and then you get credit for whatever those players do that night. It then counts towards your total for the week. that's not detailed enough. One game is 12-10. I thought perhaps you got 1 point for every category you won, but that isn't the case it seems.

SDS Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 you get 1 point for every category you win...at the end of the week. then how do you get a score of 12-10 mid week?
SwampD Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 then how do you get a score of 12-10 mid week? That's the cumulative point total of all the players on your roster.
deluca67 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I checked the SabreSpaceBlue fantasy scoring today. I am currently splitting the scoring categories 7-7 yet the scoreboard is showing me losing 6-13. Is that a glitch or is the scoring different from last season?

You know there is a whole thread on this already. and catagories are totaled at the end of the week.

I would guess that it will correct itself.
ThePebble19 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 That's the cumulative point total of all the players on your roster. I thought the scores that were shown was the total of categories you were currently winning to the categories your opponent was winning? But now that I see a 12-10 score that can't be the case... I'm confused.
