Eric in Akron Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 well, I did say it was a riddle. ;) 1 + 1 = 2 would be the worse riddle ever... Additionally, you do give a hint in the question. You don't have to be a Sabres fan to know that 1 + 1 = 2. The fact that you qualify the question would make me pause and think about what you are asking. The only worry I have is that I would've put Perreault instead of 11.

I also typed in Perreault. :) Speaking of dating the board as a bunch of old fuddy duddies... how many under the age of 30 know what the Aud Club was?
Taro T Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 I also typed in Perreault. :) Speaking of dating the board as a bunch of old fuddy duddies... how many under the age of 30 know what the Aud Club was? Well, they SHOULD know it as the best place to have a pre-game Bandits party.
SDS Posted August 5, 2009 Author Report Posted August 5, 2009 I also typed in Perreault. :) Speaking of dating the board as a bunch of old fuddy duddies... how many under the age of 30 know what the Aud Club was? It doesn't matter really... You talked me out of it before, but not this time gramps! The thing is it works on multiple levels. The Aud Club for older people, a play on words, "The Odd Club", for younger... It is the latter connotation that strikes me as more appealing, just as we have an "Off the Wall" forum on TBD (a little different scenario, but a play on words none-the-less).
K-9 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Ah, but where do you learn it from if not here? I wouldn't have gotten it, I'll leave it up to the 'cool kids' here to decide if me not being here would be a good thing or not. '2' and '10' (I'm a binary dork) are about the only answers I could think of. I'm not that young and a reasonable fan. Maybe it's all behind the scenes, but I don't notice that many bots or flames on the site, so who are we trying to exclude? MattPie, please post the rest of my post for correct context. I was joking. GO SABRES!!!
MattPie Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 MattPie, please post the rest of my post for correct context. I was joking. Sorry. I figured the comment was over-the-top enough that no one would figure you were serious.

At least we don't have a misspelled forum anymore. Give me some time. It'll be the HarboUr Club again in no time.
Mbossy Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 I need the board to do my dishes. Any hope there? Oh. and get me a beer.
Eleven Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 What proof would you like? I'll have a pic up after lunch with me in it. Maybe insurance tags or registration? Why would I lie about owning a $30,000 car on a message board. If I had a pic of a honda accord, would I get the same line of questioning. After all, that was the last car I bought. If you want empiracle evidence, get Rayzor32 to order a pizza from Mark's. Ask for Shawn to deliver it. I'll bet a Solstice ends up in his driveway within 40 min. Settle down, Skooby. (kidding.)
North Buffalo Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Yea!!! I'm not the only one who first thought 2 and 10. I did figure it out on the 3rd try but I'm with ya buddy. BTW... saying "add" to someone with a math background really throws them off on this one. I know a couple of guys that use some higher level calculus that can make 1+1 = anything they darn well please. But if you are a true Sabre fan you should know 1+1.... Go check out some old video of him.
SwampD Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Settle down, Skooby. (kidding.) I just got that.

But if you are a true Sabre fan you should know 1+1.... Go check out some old video of him. Guess i'm not a true fan cause 1+1 doesn't equal eleven in my book. I'll have to keep trying...get the brew ready cause I gots me some learnin to do this hockey season.
wonderbread Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Settle down, Skooby. (kidding.) hahahaha. That's funny. Hey he has a BMW you know.
SDS Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 hahahaha. That's funny. Hey he has a BMW you know. So does every other person here in Maryland...
MattPie Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 So does every other person here in Maryland... Hmm, I was living in MD when I bought my BMW, maybe it's the Chesapeake Bay water. It's a bike though, does that make it different?
wonderbread Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 So does every other person here in Maryland... I thought the infamous SKOOBY of TBD lived in FLA.
nobody Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Settle down, Skooby. (kidding.) Ink being defensive? What's up with that? Getting all soft on us by driving a fancy car? Do you get better tips now that you're not tossing the pizzas into the back of a truck?
inkman Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Do you get better tips now that you're not tossing the pizzas into the back of a truck? My boss helped me carry out 5 sheets I had to deliver last night. He asked me if I was going to put the top up, I replied, "For the 90 seconds it's going to take to get there?" :D
inkman Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Tips have been about the same but I've gotten tons of comments.

Vancouver and Buffalo were expansions teams in 1970 and there was a spin of the wheel to determine who picked 1st. 1-10 was for the Canucks and 11-20 was for Buffalo. Top prize being Gil Perreault. The wheel came up "1" and Vancouver celebrated thinking they won. Punch Imlach came over and noticed that it was an "11" because it was a "1" on top of another "1". The Sabres were declared winners and pick Bert and gave him jersey #11.
