Stoner Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 On sabres.com they've been showing great moments in franchise history. "Classic Clips." Great, or so I thought. The current one is LeClair's shot through the net. How does this moment ever again see the light of day in official Sabres communications? Why would the Sabres want to reinfect the next generation of players with a woe-is-me, the-Sabres-are-cursed, the-league-likes-to-bone-us mentality? It plants a seed, that's all. It's one reason I tend to argue against populating an organization with former players, when the organization in question has a past that is best left behind. I just have this mental image of former players sitting around shooting the breeze, with the current team within earshot, talking about how tough it was to play in Philly. LQ micromanages things at the arena. I'll blame him for this and expect his resignation in my email by 4 o'clock. They say it's best to fire people on a Friday.
SwampD Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 If you say "institution" enough times, the word loses all meaning... and I agree.
Stoner Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 All I wanted was a Pepsi. God bless google.
